I had a very similar encounter with a friend’s neighbor in Austin who was beaming with pride over her new electric lawn mower. When I pointed out that the electricity comes from a coal burning electricity plant, she was devastated. The only thing better came 30 minutes later, when I saw her half mowed lawn and the mower plugged into the outlet on her porch.

Great story. I’ve see many battery mowers in the return pile at my local Home Depot and Lowes. That was enough to deter me from considering one. There are so many drawbacks to battery cars I could go on for a while. In what research I’ve done hydrogen would be the way...just my 2 cent.
