I have been waiting for crime to explode in our big cities and the longer this goes on the more likely it becomes that we will see burglaries, looting, and potentially riots if the lock-down gets worse.

The left wants to release all the criminals and jails are not accepting people who are arrested.

The price of illicit narcotics is going to spike (heroin and meth) because the supply of precursor chemicals to the cartels in Mexico has been disrupted because so much shipping has been shut down from China and Chinese cargo is not being admitted. This will cause the druggies (primary driver of crime) to become even more desperate.

This could get serious. NY needs to raise the dollar threshold on felony theft to keep the crime rate down. If thefts under $10,000 were only a misdemeanor, things would probably be well under control.

That is why I am in my store a couple of times a day. Almost no crime in my area but I am on a main road and lots of people drive by.

I also do pick up orders for my regular customers giving me a trickle of a cash flow.
