My husband and I are both laid off. Unemployment is enough for us to pay our bills. Thanks to not living above our means we are going to be okay if out of work for a few months.

We will be taking advantage of the extra time to pay our taxes :)

He said that they are working on an amendment to fix the problem that would mean that the maximum unemployment benefit is 100 percent of someone’s salary.

It should be closer to 80%. Once the country reopens, there will be a lot of slackards who won't want to go back to work.

An amendment to fix it....do a no more than....say $500 per week.....likely enough to get by for awhile. If you were making a lot of money, then I hope you knew enough to save.
