Gov. Gavin Newsom is on a weeklong statewide tour promoting his billion-dollar effort to tackle the homeless crisis in California.

The governor signed an emergency order last week and plans on distributing one hundred FEMA trailers throughout the state.

Touting his effort, the governor’s office highlighted a fleet of trailers that were on their way to a vacant lot in Oakland on Wednesday. The trailers will provide services and shelter to homeless people.

Are they going to load the bums into the trailers and move them to NV, AZ, UT, etc.?

Another idea would be to put them on old cruise ships that have been mothballed

We could probably anchor them somewhere closer to the poppy fields too. Cut out all the transit time and money.

Come November, you can make bet that there'll be 101 of these trailers, the new one rolled in being a polling place.

I remember when the bleeding heart libs decided it was unfair to keep people who had mental, drug, etc. problems in state facilities.

Solution . . . cut them free and fund their care in the community. Only problem is no funding was really forthcoming.

At least most of these poor people are in CA, NY and other paradises of the left.

One hundred FEMA trailers would not house the homeless within one mile from my home.
Another California fail...

I remember that glut of unusable “toxic” FEMA trailers from the Katrina days also. I bet that’s where Gavin obtained them, and probably at above retail price.

It was of camping trailors....Probably not allowed....it’s tricky with several Cal. sources as there’s several you can’t post. I should have checked better.

What I can tell they tried sheds and various other solutions for housing the homeless. I suppose if Newsome keeps calling this calls this a “Disaster” he’ll likly cry for further Federal Funds.

California leadership always lets things get out of hand then cries for federal funding.....and the revenue flows yet again.

This is one homeless encampment in LA. I don't think 100 trailers is going to make much of a dent.

“”The trailers will provide services “”

What kind of services? Shelter makes sense but SERVICES?

Maid service, chef service, cleaning service, laundry service, “drug” service - what?
