Svengali Trump Hypnotizing Democrats and the Media
American Thinker.com ^ | January 6, 2020 | Brian C. Joondeph

A Svengali is a person who controls another’s mind, usually with sinister intent, based on the 1891 gothic-horror novel Trilby, by George du Maurier. A century later, in the 1950s and 60s, the CIA actually dabbled and experimented in mind control under the codename MKUltra.

The concept appears frequently in popular culture. Jason Bourne, a Robert Ludlum character, was programed by MKUltra. So too, allegedly, was Ted Kaczynski, the Unabomber.

Today the master of mind control, also known as the “very stable” Svengali genius is none other than President Donald Trump. Simply by tweeting or eating a scoop of ice cream during a military strike, he can turn normally sane members of Congress and journalists into raving lunatics.

As a politician, especially one running for a second term as president with the election less than a year away, Trump’s life is a perpetual campaign.

How convenient for the incumbent president to use mind control on his political opponents to constantly campaign, not for themselves or their issues, but inadvertently for the president. It seems each inane utterance by the left creates another Trump voter or campaign contributor.

What’s more remarkable is that this modern-day Svengali is a political novice, a brash and at times crude real estate developer from New York City, where the only recent magic trick was their most famous prison detainee, under constant guard, on suicide precautions, somehow managing to kill himself. I don’t think even Houdini could pull off a trick like that.

The most recent example of the very stable Svengali’s mind control is his killing of Iranian terrorist mastermind General Qasem Soleimani and his sidekick Abu Mahdi al-Muhandis.

I disagree with this premise. They are not normally sane.

This is what Scott Adams has been saying for three solid years.

If Trump came out in August and said he needed 100-million dollars for a massive last-month ad campaign...the general public (working class people) would go and contribute the hundred million to his effort. No one from past hundred years has had that type of ability to convince people to that level.

Besides Reagan, which POTUS in the last 100 years have patriots found truly supportable?

President Trump isn’t a “Svengali”. He is being honest. That is an absolute shock to leftists and politicians. It is their fear that the population will realize how we have been played for chumps by our “leaders” who become wealthy at our expense through their corrupt practices (as do their extended family and friends). The average politician is in fear for their corrupt way of life from an awakened Citizenry.

Truman for a while, until it appeared he was mis-handling Korea.

——President Trump isn’t a “Svengali”——

Actually, the President and Commander in Chief is a warrior.

Being a warrior is as bad or maybe worse than being a businessman seeking profit

I said pretty much the same thing here just the other day. Trump is hated because the concept of just ‘’managing’’ a problem is just not in any way, shape or form something he does. In real estate and the construction industry property doesn’t sell itself and buildings don’t go up by themselves and time is money.

“He is being honest.”

Yep. That’s Trump’s superpower ... BUT he’s also a master troll who deliberately and constantly pushes the left’s buttons with his tweets and rallies and how he uses deliberately provocative words and phrases that do indeed drive his leftist opponents insane ... President Trump is truly a joy to behold ...

You’re not reading it correctly

I think he is. How can the author decide if they are normally sane? What are his qualifications? What examples does he reference to support his claim? 17th Miss Regt was correct to question the validity of the author's statement, and reject it if he so sees fit. 8>)

Now the author could have said, apparently seems to normally be sane. Then he does not run into a definitive statement that he cannot prove. But he didn't. Thus he opened himself to differing opinions, be they correct or not. 8>)

I started following President Trump's Tweets when he had 24 million followers. This past year I have been tracking the increase, which has been averaging 100,000 a week. Just after the Iranian killing and the resultant idiotic outcry by the Democrats, the numbers have been escalating as you state.

IIRC, Victor Davis Hanson wrote something like there was a groundswell of seething discontent/hatred by the voters and that it would be unleashed on the Democrats on election day. From those figures, it looks like he was right.
