Kanye West joined Pastor Joel Osteen on stage at his Lakewood Church on Sunday and said he plans to recruit the best talent in the music industry and release new Christian music every month.
This music is going to come every month. We dropping that heat. Were in the studio. God is strengthening our hands, Kanye West said to the over 17,000 in attendance and the millions watching on livestream.
The devil stole all the good producers, the devil stole all the good musicians, all the good artists, all the good designers, all the good businesspeople, and said youve got to come work for me, West said.
We have writers. We have producers. Were taking all the most fire producers and bring them back to God, the Grammy-winner said to the roar of applause. All the best voices, all the best dancers, all the worship for us to see that its through Christ following the Bible can free us all.
When we bring up the name of Jesus, were told to be quiet. Every time I stand up, I feel that Im standing up and drawing a line in the sand and saying, Im here in service to God,' West continued.
West explained how he came to make Jesus Is King, his ninth consecutive number one album and his first Gospel album.

Wow, you really do have a problem. You dont understand comment 140. You dont understand what a Pharisee is. You misunderstand scripture. You misunderstand so many commenters that its hard to know what you DO understand. Is it that you just like to attack and argue?
To comment 146....thats exactly what I fear Osteens aim is: Hey, Kanye, you have $250,000 mil and I only have $40 mil:....how bout helping a poor guy out?
Well, gee......I guess everyone went home. Im talking to myself 150 to 162. Didnt realize. Sorry, all, good night.
Watch Olsteen interviews with Oprah Winfrey and Larry King. They ask him a couple of questions about homosexuality and is Jesus the only way to salvation. Olsteen could not give a straight answer.
I am not seeing people who want Kanye to fail.
They want Kanye to switch to a gospel that encompasses the entire word including the verses about trials, tribulations and suffering being part of God’s plan.
Somehow I am not seeing embracing all of scripture as failure.
And thanks for your post giving me a bit of a lift today. Those at any age, you might be 50-60-70, who are not trying new things and new approaches are dying.

Bob Dylan - It’s Alright, Ma (I’m Only Bleeding) Lyrics ...
https://www.azlyrics.com/lyrics/bobdylan/itsalrightmaimonlybleeding.html
That he not busy being born Is busy dying. Temptation’s page flies out the door You follow, find yourself at war Watch waterfalls of pity roar You feel the moan but unlike before You discover That you’d just be One more person crying. So don’t fear if you hear A foreign sound to your ear It’s alright, Ma, I’m only sighing. As some warn victory, some downfall
lol
He had been listening to a Billy Graham crusade and contacted a famous evangelist (I don’t recall who) asking if Jesus could also accept someone like him. The evangelist communicated with him several times (the letters are public) and John wrote in his diaries that he had become a born again Christian. He was even taking his son, Sean, to Sunday School. John had always had a fascination with Jesus and Christianity, but he seemed to have always tried to push it away with both hands. Most people misunderstand his Beatles more popular than Jesus quote. He was astonished at it, and commented that his band was becoming more important in society than Jesus (which was true). Everyone took it the wrong way. If you have look at the video of him trying to explain, you can see how upset he was. When someone asked him about Imagine, he said, “It’s just a song.” Unfortunately, John began to go wobbly under pressure from his wife and friends.
Nothing in particular wrong with prosperity. However, the Lord has not promised his believers a rose garden. In fact, His Word comes right out and says that believers will often have troubles. In my personal experience, it is easy to have faith in God when one is living a life of ease and prosperity. It is when tragedy and hardship strike, that your faith is tested. A man who can praise God when times are good, and when times are bad shows his true faith. A man who can offer what grace he can to others on his worst day is a man that is living the Word.
Having said the above, I'm not quite as down on Olsteen and similar ministers as some are. Anyone who can bring someone to God is on my side. Some, if not many, who are attracted to the 'prosperity' message may grow in their faith and trust in God when the inevitable downturns confront them. That is my hope and prayer anyway.
I understand. A lot of people take Job that way. It is a difficult book for many believers. I see it as a simple, if a bit extreme test of faith. As I mentioned in my previous post, I believe it is through adversity that our true character and beliefs are shown. Life itself is a very temporary situation in the face of all of eternity. As such, I don't see even Job's travails as weighing too heavy in the balance, if one looks at it in the long run.
The Book of Job is among the oldest in the Bible. Some believe it predates the rest of the Word by a considerable margin. One thing I keep in mind when reading it, is that all the evil done to Job are actually instigated at the hands of Satan. While it is true that God allows it to be done, the actual deeds are not done by Him.
I'm not angry at all LOLOL, I'm assuming you meant to address your comment to someone else?
He looks like he could be Tim Allen’s younger brother. Weird.
Yes, our Lord God and Savior Jesus Christ talks about denying self, taking up one’s cross, and following Him!
But Osteen talks all about being PROSPEROUS and having GOOD SUCCESS!
Go figure!!!!
Wow, sniperville. People like you on FR (there’s too many of them) hide, snipe, and then hide again. You have nothing to offer and offer no support for your empty and stupid assertions.
Get lost.
That is really cool. John seemed like a really conflicted guy who at least publicly and in his music berated “possessions and religion too”. He didn’t seem to care for people too much either - at least in the lyrics of some of his songs. But God is in the business of “justifying the ungodly”.
I am so gratified to hear that maybe he actually received Jesus into his heart. I think there’ll be a lot of surprised people in Heaven when we see people who we thought wouldn’t be there. Looking forward to it.
OK, try this.
Jesus' words were often harsh and hard - partially and mainly because he was 1) talking to his own, the stubborn Jews, and 2) he was still preaching from the Old Covenant of the Law which was done away at the cross (Col. 2:14).
Now in the New Covenant of the Gospel of the Grace of Christ (which the modern-day self-righteous Pharisees hate like they hated Jesus himself), God Word speaks of things like, "Beloved, I wish above all things that you may prosper in all things and be in health, just as your soul prospers" (3 John 2).
As then, so now, the self-righteous Pharisees hate such undeserved blessings. Yet it's in God's immutable word which the legalistic Pharisees can't get around although they try.
Go figure
BINGO!!! You are so right on.
The very reverend Jim W N YOU wrote:

And....
“”As then, so now, the self-righteous Pharisees hate such undeserved blessings.””

Guess these ‘poor dumb Christians’ missed the “undeserved blessings’ and hated Jesus just like you said.
....they must have been Pharisees too?
Hebrews 11:32
And what more shall I say? I do not have time to tell about Gideon, Barak, Samson and Jephthah, about David and Samuel and the prophets, 33who through faith conquered kingdoms, administered justice, and gained what was promised; who shut the mouths of lions, 34quenched the fury of the flames, and escaped the edge of the sword; whose weakness was turned to strength; and who became powerful in battle and routed foreign armies. 35Women received back their dead, raised to life again. There were others who were tortured, refusing to be released so that they might gain an even better resurrection. 36Some faced jeers and flogging, and even chains and imprisonment. 37They were put to death by stoning; they were sawed in two; they were killed by the sword. They went about in sheepskins and goatskins, destitute, persecuted and mistreated 38the world was not worthy of them. They wandered in deserts and mountains, living in caves and in holes in the ground.
39These were all commended for their faith, yet none of them received what had been promised, 40since God had planned something better for us so that only together with us would they be made perfect.
I think your theology need a little polishing up Most Reverend JIM W N
