Yes, I conceded upthread that was on Garrett. By today’s standards he was way out there. Just wondering where even that Late hit came from. Are they so boxed in now, with Roooles they can easily Snap. idk. Garrett was a mess. Why?
He hit him with the helmet once.
Not that it excuses anything, it did appear the QB was trying to rip his helmet off after a late and dirty tackle.
Looking forward to the “stuck fingers” theory being found plausible, perhaps on film or possibly in imaginations.
So something happened? Guess I’ll never know.
The steelers are not out of contention even with their star QB out for injury. What Garret tried to do swinging the helmet threatened the season for those Linemen. Do you realize how much those helmets weigh and the force imparted by a long swift swing of the helmet to the head of a man can do? Myles is one of the most talented defensive ends in the NFL. Now he is out for the season just when the Browns were starting to come together as a team to contend with. AND, BTW, these giants know how to actually hurt one another. When Rogers was crushed to the ground and busted his collar bone last year, the Packers were removed from contention in their division.
Yea, (rolling eyes) figured it out so well they are letting teams scout Kaepernick in a private work out session tomorrow to let him back in the league...
NFL hasn’t figured out jack...
League is just finally starting to recover from the damage this idiot did, and the owners are letting him back in...
The Owners are just as stupid as the players as far as I’m concerned.
The ripping of the helmet is all on Rudolph, the “kicking in the balls” was after Garret was yanking him by his facemask... and was far more a defensive get off me, get away, than a targeted shot to the nards....
Rudolph is in the wrong, but this presentation that he kicked him in the nards before Garret went after his head is nonsense.
Thou protests too much. I saw it all. I know the ramifications. I get the obvious.
“Frankly, I thought Football was BACK!
The Men were taking care of their own business, on.both.sides. The hand wringers were all finally side lined for a few brief moments.
These guys are not going to seriously hurt one another and they know Very well that a SAFE SPACE is coming, with flags flying, and being separated by team mates.
Gawd.”
Don’t get me wrong hitting and getting physical is the game. I am more concerned with the outright crazy behavior. Grabbing a mask is one thing but removing a helmet and hitting the opposing team member is way past saying its Football.
The NFL will be looking at that film frame by frame.
Garrett used that helmet as a weapon.
To my mind he should be made persona non grata by the NFL.
The viciousness displayed by Myles is indicative of a man out of control, trying to break Rudolph’s neck and when he didn’t succeed he used the helmet as a weapon.
I had that option using slow motion stop with eye blink speed snapping forward. I missed the finger theory, myself. Not saying that another or better angle might insert that finger business. Thx.
They’ll be talking and analyzing this for months.
I saw a video that showed this pretty clearly.
Garrett started the whole thing by taking Rudolph to the ground and refusing to get off of him despite the fact Rudolph had gotten rid of the ball. That only is a penalty by today’s rules.
Yes, Rudolph's actions were so egregious that the NFL indefinitely suspended Garrett.
You aren't the first to say I'm beyond help and you won't be the last.
Not enough, throw him out for good.
