Andy Beshear, Who Fundraised With Abortionist, Defeats Pro-Life Kentucky Gov. Matt Bevin
LIFE NEWS ^ | Nov 6, 2019 | Steven Ertelt

Kentucky voters had a clear choice in the gubernatorial race when it comes to abortion politics today. And in the end the pro-life governor who served women and unborn children so proudly went home in defeat to a Democrat who fundraised with an abortionist.

Republican Gov. Matt Bevin has a strong pro-life record by defending unborn babies and cracking down on abortion businesses for not following the law. His opponent, Democrat Andy Beshear, has a radical pro-abortion stance. As state attorney general, he refused to defend a Kentucky law that protects unborn babies from abortions after 20 weeks.

Voters unfortunately did not reward Bevin’s strong pro-life record by sending him back to the governor’s mansion.

With 99% of the vote counted, Beshear defeated Bevin by a 49-48 percent margin.

Bevin has a strong record of protecting unborn babies and mothers from abortion. He has cracked down on abortion clinics, ensuring that they meet health and safety regulations. In 2016, his administration took legal action against Planned Parenthood after its new Lexington facility began aborting unborn babies without a license. That facility still is prohibited from aborting unborn babies.

As governor, Bevin has signed multiple pro-life laws, including measures to ban abortions after an unborn baby’s heartbeat is detectable, protect unborn babies with Down syndrome from discrimination and protect unborn babies from brutal dismemberment abortions.

Susan B. Anthony List President Marjorie Dannenfelser said Bevin is a pro-life hero, and the Kentucky abortion lobby is trying desperately to unseat him. Her organization is working to inform voters in Kentucky ahead of the election.

In contrast, Beshear has a pro-abortion record and recently participated in a fundraiser with a Kentucky abortionist. In 2017, he refused to defend a Kentucky law that protects unborn babies by banning abortions after 20 weeks of pregnancy.

We can be sure of that. Just because He gives us free will doesn’t mean He likes the decisions we make.

1. They are organized.
2. They have followed a three-year campaign of hate and intimidation using Trump as their target. Hatred and intimidation works if it is not resisted.
3. They lie, cheat, steal, intimidate to seize power.

“...Beshear defeated Bevin by a 49-48 percent margin.”
Rats are already running with this as turning point in the 2020 election.

Let them go on thinking that. Our 2020 wins will be that much sweeter!

Well, it isn’t a positive outcome by any means.

A little too much pearl clutching going on. Bevin was a good governor and he wasn’t afraid of a good fight. His problem is that he picked one too many fights with the public sector unions who then spent a buttload of money to defeat him.

Beshear’ s father was a do nothing governor, and I’m hoping his son didn’t fall too far from the tree.

Dems localized the races. That’s when they can win.

Seriously.

People act like you have to have an unbroken string of wins or else they will sin the corner and cry like a 10 year old girl.

And they arent even conceding the race. So some of these people need to calm down.

At least we know who are going to be the biggest PITA meltdown queens in 2020.

Bevin just seemed to have near an Evan Mecham (AZ) penchant for saying things that irritate others, making him the *least* popular governor in the US. Among his gaffs:

1) Has made an anti-vaxx statement.
2) Objected to school closings in record cold weather with subzero windchill. Go into a spat with Al Roker.
3) Made a disparaging racial remark at an inner city school.
4) Called for an “honest conversation” about violence in video games, movies, and music after a mass shooting.
5) McConnell ran ads dubbing Bevin an “East Coast con man,” when Bevin challenged him in the primary.
6) Was caught on video at a pro-cockfighting rally.

“How can any sane people vote for the Marxist, racist, insane Democrats?”

Low IQ voters: Women who want to kill their babies, blacks who want free stuff, foreigners who want to import more of their people, the young who don’t want to work and want more free stuff, and elderly that want more free money.

Let’s face it: There was a reason we didn’t let non land owners, foreigners, the young, and women vote.

Thanks for posting. It’s in your hands men. Use it wisely. Allowing eugenicist’s puppets to slaughter your son or daughter is not wise.

Seems like people just didn’t like Bevin then

something to do with what he was trying to do with teacher pensions? Which is why Trump is putting off school reform until the 2nd term, the teachers lobby is powerful.

Why don’t people want decency, beauty, goodness and truth?

Weighed against free stuff, those things are nice, but not critical.

That the Left can't actually deliver the free stuff it promises never really factors into the equation. It's the thought that counts. :)

I live in KY. I can tell you that this election solidified my belief that, in the long run, this whole country is screwed. The reason: Anyone who is elected an chooses to solve the problems by making the tough choices will become very unpopular to those whose ox is being gored (in this case the teachers) and be swiftly voted out of office.

However, the results were actually good. the R’s swept everything else, he came ridiculously close to winning, and the state house is all R. Our new governor is surrounded by R’s at every turn.

And this proves the effectiveness of Trump. Bevin beat being behind by 15 points to losing by a gnat’s hair.

Bevin ran a poor campaign and argued for a toll bridge on the main interstate over the Ohio River to Cincinnati, that was lethal to his campaign.

But the other five statewide offices all went to the GOP. To include a shiny new pro-life Attorney General. There is a lot of brightside to the KY results.

Actually, the Dem lead board in Montgomery County,PA has actually balanced the budget. We will see what happens in Delco, if the board starts to go leftist, I think they will be thrown out. Also, there was a 7 point swing in the philly election for the GOP from the last mayors race.
