[doing the right thing] == [doing what I want]
I wonder if Melissa has discussed her ideas with the criminals in Milwaukee and elsewhere in that state? Surely, they would give valuable input, wouldn’t they?
Get rid of those gun shows where you can just walk in and buy 50 caliber AR-15’s that have high magazine clips that shoot a thousand rounds a minute.

Its always about them. That other people might have another perspective doesnt occur to them.
And our rights arent meant to be bargained away because Democrats want It.
Too many lives have been cut short by the violence of abortion. As for guns, the number of deaths by guns has declined nationally. Shootings in big cities like Milwaukee are usually gang-related. Democrats over the years did a fine job of creating a welfare state with fatherless families and neighborhoods where crime is rampant.
NO.
What she’s really talking about overcoming is that pesky li’l Second Amendment...
Our differences is my freedom, which you will not overcome.
Leaving gun owners alone is doing the right thing.
“Friends, Romans, Countrymen....lend me your ears....”. Blah, blah, blah....
SHALL NOT BE INFRINGED.
Discussion is over.
A food store I frequent has a new sign in the window. No Gun Zone. I asked a manager if people intent on robbing the store would adhere to their rule. He said, better to have warned than not at all. Me...So a guy intent on robbing the store will think twice because of your no gun rule? Any guns in possession of anyone is cause for alarm.
Common sense vs emotion. Conservative vs liberal. I Then asked whats better...a law abiding citizen with a gun to shoot the criminal that didnt follow your rule? Or nobody has a gun but the criminal? I have work to do please fill out a complaint card if you dont like it.
What type of person is shooting innocent people in Wisconsin?
“These policies have widespread public support, including dissenting voices in the NRA, Republican lawmakers and President Trump, doctors, social workers and employers. Further, those on the front lines including business owners, gun shops, counties and municipalities, law enforcement and more have been calling on the state Legislature to act.”
BS! This needs a barf alert.
The “right thing” would be to support constitutional carry.
We indeed can overcome our differences and do the right thing . You keep you hands off of my guns and I wont shoot you. See how easy and simple that is?
My Constitutionally protected Rights are not subject to public approval or require public support to maintain.
No, no we can't
OF COURSE THE FOUNDING FATHERS didn’t envision the guns we have today.
But they would have said “if the idea of the 2nd amendment is to protect from tyranny, what the hell good are hunting rifles going to be against the government’s guns?”
Hey I wonder if it was legal to build a private warship or functional cannon back then?
I don’t know why someone would want to but i was just wondering :)
Two fundamental problems with this entire drivel.
One, the author is, as so many "gun control" advocates do, over emphasizing the problem of gun deaths. Yes, a lot of people get wrongly killed by firearms in this country. But when you put it in perspective you realize 8,000 or so wrongful deaths in a country of 311 million or so is really not the epidemic it is made out to be. The current hand-wringing over "assault weapons" is laughable, yes literally laughable when you realize you are more likely to be beaten to death, or even that you are 10x more likely to accidentally kill yourself in the bathroom? No one fears going in to shower, shave, take a bath...but they're screaming for an assault weapons ban! Ban the Moen instead! We'll save 10x more lives!
Two, the other common fallacy put forth as gospel by pro-disarmament "gun control" advocates is that "gun control" is a solution to the perceived problem. It is not. Let me repeat that for you slow lib-lurkers out there. Gun control does not work, period. If it did, then cities and states with the strictest "gun control" would be demonstrably safer than those without - right? Basic logic, if something works then it should be observed to work. Well, the cities and states with the strictest "gun control" are in fact some of the most dangerous places with some of the highest rates of gun violence. But how can this be? I can hear your confusion from here libtards. It is because "gun control" laws do not work. Criminals break laws. Come on liberals, say it with me "Criminals break laws" - kind of why they're labeled "criminal" eh? The notion that "gun control" laws would be obeyed by criminals preparing to commit multiple felonies would again be laughable if so many fools weren't actually serious about it. If you believe it, you are delusional, get help.
