MADISON, Wis. (AP) -- Democratic Wisconsin Gov. Tony Evers is calling the Republican-controlled Legislature into a special session to take up a pair of gun control measures that GOP leaders have been unwilling to debate.
The move Evers announced Monday does not force Republicans to debate or vote on the bills. But it does give Democrats another means to spotlight the issues that a poll in August showed more than 80% of the public support.

Your republican legislature should send through exactly what the Governor wants, provided the legislation includes the MANDATE there is to be NO armed security for ANY state employee, including elected and appointed ones. Any state person who fits the prohibited class who personally employs armed security will be subject to 25 years in prison.
Evers is just flailing around, hitting the Dem Talking Points while the clock is running out. He knows he’s in over his head. He is totally One and Done!
Our Republicans aren’t afraid of fighting back. They’ll come up with some creative way to smack Evers down. ;)

Nice going Wisconsin. You had a jewel of a governor in Scott Walker but apparently couldn’t stand prosperity so elected this stool Evers. Yes, yes I know...it’s Madison and Filthwaukee.
I feel your pain! I wish Scott Walker was still Governor, but due to stupidity and fraud in Dane, Milwaukee and Racine Counties we are stuck with Tony Two Face for three more years.
They should hold a debate and adopt the Second Amendment verbatim, vote on it and send it to the DemonRat POS.
Sorry Republicans do not have a gun problem in this nation, it is young black male democrats who have a gun problem.

But I'm not worried. Evers is simply a figurehead. The WI legislature is firmly in GOP hands and Evers is in his late 60s and has no political future so he's basically just an asterisk until we retake the Governorship in 2022.

After being ruled like a personal democrat fiefdom for over 104 years, of course there are some minor hiccups in paradise.

Gangs, hell. Its the Mexican Los Zetas and Sinaloa cartels that rule Milwaukee along with their Democrat partners.
What they should do is consider impeachment for a governor who tears up the constitution.
Problem is I fly there but never ever go in to town; the crew bus takes us there but I stay in the hotel and don’t leave until the next day.
