Jacob Wohl, a conservative activist who once attempted to smear special counsel Robert Mueller with false sexual assault allegations, was charged in California for the illegal sale of securities.
Wohl allegedly tried to sell unqualified securities in July and August of 2016, according to a criminal complaint filed against him on August 19. The disgraced hedge fund manager turned pro-Trump conspiracy theorist was charged along with his former business partner, Matthew Johnson.
The Daily Beast, which first broke the story, reported the allegation stems from securities sold for one of Wohl’s financial companies, Montgomery Assets. Prosecutors had to file by the end of last month if they wanted to pursue charges due to a three-year statute of limitations, according to The Daily Beast.
A judge issued warrants for both men on August 19, but Wohl has not yet been arrested, according to the Riverside County District Attorney's Office.

Well there aren’t any. It’s investors who are either qualified or unqualified, not securities.
Securities are either registered or unregistered.
Stocks that you buy on the NYSE, New York American or NASDAQ are all registered securities.
Unregistered securities are usually private placements. They can be sold, but they can only be sold to qualified investors. If you sell them to people who don’t meet the restrictions you are inviting big trouble. Wohl as a hedge fund operator would be well aware of that.

“In 2016, Wohl, then a teenager, portrayed himself in media reports and pitches to potential investors as a hedge fund wunderkind.
Investigators with the National Futures Association started to look into the operations of another Wohl company after a client complained that Wohl claimed to have rapidly increased the client’s $75,000 investment to $89,000. When the client tried to withdraw his money, however, Wohl allegedly only sent back $44,000.
The investigators noted in a report that Wohl’s promotional materials for the company claimed that Wohl had nine years of trading experience. That claim meant that Wohl, then 17 or 18 years old, would have been trading since he was 8 or 9 years old.
Wohl withdrew from the NFA ahead of the investigation, and eventually received a lifetime ban from the group.

You can’t get a securities license without learning not to sell restricted securities to unqualified buyers. It’s about as basic as it gets.
He was also caught trying to bribe young gay men to make false accusations against Buttiegieg.
Fake sexual assault allegations are what the Left does. If you are for men’s rights you cannot be for false allegations against any man, not even Buttgig. This Jacob Wohl guy gives genuine conservative activists a bad name. We should not be supporting him.
