Labor unions officially abandon the interests of their members
American Thinker ^ | August 10, 2019 | Thomas Lifson

There is no longer any reason to regard the union movement in the United States as working to support the interests of its dues-paying members. Instead, it has become a fundraising adjunct to the Democrats, one using the force of coercion to confiscate a portion of members’ paychecks and send most of it to the party that is working to depress their wages by flooding the labor market with illegal immigrants.

Richard Trumka, head of the AFL-CIO and therefore the top labor leader in the United States, is now all-in on protecting illegal immigrants.

...

The Democrats need millions of poor people coming to the United States and becoming voters, whether or not they become citizens. Motor Voter laws and automatic enrollment of driver’s license applicants as voters ensure that this illegal activity can take place and be shrugged off as an understandable mistake.

Historically, the labor movement strongly opposed immigration, both legal and illegal, because it understood that expanding the supply of labor would depress wages, elementary economics.

...

Cesar Chavez, the organizer of agricultural workers and a saint of the progressive movement, strongly opposed .. illegal immigration.

...

One of the oldest and most popular songs of the labor movement is “Which side are you on?” It is now apparent that union leadership has switched sides.

Hypocrite labor unions are exempt from the very same local minimum wage laws that they helped to pass.

If I was running the union(s). I would have figured out someway to set up some sort of system where I would sponsor immigrants. Build “union” facilities to Room & Board them. Train them for whatever union job, then get ‘em legal. Then have them bring their families in and...

They’d be voting whichever way I asked them to forever...

First, let’s get this out of the way..
Unions+organized crime+demonRAT party= from the beginning and continuing now.

The unions have NEVER been about their members. They have always been about money and power. Remember Eastern Airlines? My brother worked for them and gleefully joined the strike that closed it down. All I heard about was how much the CEO made, but not a word about the money raked in by his national union. In the end, the union leaders left with their fat wallets intact and the smug knowledge that they had shown a big company who was boss.
My brother? Lost his home, his job and it took a year for him to find another job. The union did NOTHING to help him.

I HATE, with all the loathing I am capable of, national unions.

As president of the United Mine Workers, Richard Trumpka led the striking miners into multiple acts of terrorism against the company and the people of Southwest Virginia

It’s hard to believe now, but just 20 years ago it was the UNIONS who wanted a sealed a border and wanted to send the Illegals back home.

But then we had the Housing Bubble, which started just after that. And George W. Bush OPENED THE FLOODGATES on our Southern Border and Illegals poured in.

The unions did the math - saw that their base of white Democrat loyalists, the JFK/FDR type of voters was dying off, and decided they could get more done by getting their Democrat base refilled, then they could fighting for existing, legal, workers.

And so you have today.

When Trumpka was elected UMWA president he immediately hired back into the top union leadership circle cronies & cohorts of Tony Boyle. Tony Boyle had his predecessor UMWA president killed - Joe “Jock” Yablonski.

That should tell you all you need to know about Trumpka.

Labor unions are typically "Mob Bosses" or are controlled by external Mob Bosses.

They're in it for their cut and the political influence they can buy.

The UFT certainly is all-in for dummocraps, that’s for sure. It was worth retiring not to have to view the large portrait of Odungo hanging in the local UFT office every time you had business there. And before every election, I receive official UFT leaflets extolling the “virtues” of whatever dummocrap candidate is running. Makes for fine cat litter, but I’d rather see dues go to providing member services, not advertising for fiends.

It is both parties. The Krotch Bros, and the GOPe loves them some cheap labor.

Massive amounts of LEGAL migration have lowered the standard of living and wages of lower middle class Americans for 30 -40 years.

Nothing but a greedy hypocrite. All he sees are illegals getting the jobs and then paying their dues out of fear or no work....ha ha ha ha ha ha ha
