The amount Brits are using Facebook has plunged by more than a third over the past 12 months, new research indicates, in sharp contrast to the companys official statistics. The number of online interactions made on Facebooks mobile app in the UK plummeted by 38pc between June 2018 and June 2019, according to the analytics firm Mixpanel.

There are too many alternatives such as texting.
I have logged into my facebook account maybe 5 times in the last six or seven years.
Likely they fear prosecution for anything the PTB find offensive.
Social media will always be here in some form or other, but the platforms will change. MySpace was a big deal years ago, and now my teens say Facebook is for old people. That is the kiss of death in tech; they’ll survive, but are no longer “the thing”.
If all you are doing is messaging, then you should just quit entirely and use email. Everything you say is being analyzed by them and sold to whoever will pay them for it. Don’t feed them.
My wife uses Facebook with great success to advertise her home bakery business. However, she often finds benign, totally non-political posts flagged and removed for improper content without ever an explanation of what was wrong. She appeals and the posts are replaced.
I truly believe that FB's algorithms, in an effort be socially engineering, are easily triggered and this has resulted in a site that is now more complex and less user-friendly than if they had just stayed out of the social engineering business to begin with.
These sites are going to destroy themselves in their efforts to sway opinion. They don't work as smooth and seamlessly as they used to. At the end of the day, most people just want apps and websites to work properly. With the current platforms becoming complex and bloated, new sites will arrive that addresses this, lacking the social algorithms that muck things up.
“Scary, controlling, spying on people”
When I got an account in ~2011 it started showing me page after page of potential contacts, some were people I has not thought about in decades. That creeped me out immediately. I did not go any further with it.
I have never used it, but have not had much success getting people to quit.
We should do the same.
Ridicule them.
Make fun of them.
Boycott their advertisers.
Make them suffer pain, anguish and gnashing of teeth!......................
I choose to just ignore/not use Facebook.
Although I do manage the Facebook Is Evil ping list :)
Both Facebook and Twitter have numerous cases of people losing their jobs and having their futures destroyed when they said something which the SJW mob didn't like.
Parents should make clear to all their kids that they should NEVER post to FB anything potentially controversial.
Even family pictures may result in bad things happening, as increasingly pics are vacuumed into databases and indexed by biometic identifying characteristics, to aid in doxxing people seen to offend any Leftist.
