Breaking News!!: Needles, CA: Needles City Council voted unanimously to declare the City of Needles a Second Amendment Sanctuary City.
Members of the Needles City Council has voted unanimously to declare the City of Needles a Second Amendment Sanctuary City.
The vote occurred during the Needles City Council Meeting in Needles, California on Tuesday, June 11th, 2019.
According to the agenda item packet released from the City of Needles, California has strict gun laws in comparison to neighboring states. Gun laws are set by the California Legislature. The federal constitution provides protections for citizens to keep and bear arms Arizona Residents will not come here because of gun laws and business opportunities are being missed, Needles City Council Member Timothy Terral.
Councilor Terrals request is to declare the City of Needles a Second Amendment Sanctuary City and to consider any or all of the following:
1) To request that the Sheriff not enforce weapons violations by California, Nevada and Arizona residents.
2) To request that the Legislature allow an exemption to California gun laws for the City of Needles and within a 65 miles radius of Needles.
3) To request that the Legislature allow reciprocity of concealed weapons permits with Nevada and Arizona. Fiscal Impact would be for the cost of research and ordinance preparation.
The City of Needles, California recognizes the Second Amendment, above what the State of California does. The right to keep and bear arms; were holding that sacred. Its not gonna say go break the law by no means, you will still have to follow the law until the law is change, this is the first step to change the laws in California, said Needles City Council Member Timothy Terral.
After some more discussion, two motions were presented and voted on that night.
Dale Jones, City Clerk for the City of Needles, repeated the first motion before they voted; The motion was to declare the City of Needles a Second Amendment Sanctuary City, and seconds later, members of the Needles City Council voted unanimously Yes on the motion stated
This is good news, of course, but I can assure you the farmers and ranchers in the Central Valley and desert areas (hell, most any place 100 miles in from the Left Coast) protect themselves and their property under the Second Amendment no matter what any local, county or state government says or does.

California sanctuary cities can only be sanctuaries if they agree with the hard core left. No such thing as a sanctuary for constitutionalists.
Well, we’ll see about that. What’s good for the goose...
I always called it, NEEDLESS
It doesn’t cost anything to do nothing. Just forget about the permit stuff and presume everyone is carrying.
chuckling at clever post.
Just read the other day that all 17 Nevada sheriffs signed on to NOT support the recently passed intergalactic background check in NV.
“Until the Kali gestapo shuts it down.”
And thereby establish precedent for the Feds (precedent which already exists elsewhere) to compel the state to enforce Federal Law.
I suspect they’ll tread carefully.

Used to love stopping in Needles for breakfast or lunch at a restaurant that was part of a gas station... Can’t remember the name, but it was awesome food... It made the drive from El Centro to Las Vegas a little easier to take... Route 95 was a very boring road, unless, of course, you were a fan of summer rainstorms and flash floods...
For doing this the dems will cut up Needles into 3 congressiomal districts and probably do the same with their state legislative districts.
NCC discretionary item: Discuss declaring the city of Needles a Second Amendment Sanctuary City. Action was to form a committee to draft language to that effect.
The story is Fake news.
Back in the day I drove through Needles on several occasions. That and Ludlow, which was, quite literally, nothing more than a gas station and a café.
Needles is needling the gun-grabbing moonbats in Sacramento.
Great news!
“That and Ludlow, which was, quite literally, nothing more than a gas station and a café.”
You just described about half the small towns in Kansas!
Or as one fella said “ it’s a one horse town and the horse is dieing.”
Yup. Everyone wants to legislate the crap out of everything.
The comedian Sam Kineson was killed in a car crash near Needles in the early 90s.
A truck crossed the line and hit his vehicle head-on.
He just got himself clean and sober, and just got married.
That was a sad day.
