It was impossible not to notice one significant difference between the two groups: Those opting out of the trip are all people of color, while those planning to attend (with the exception of designated hitter J.D. Martinez, who is of Cuban descent) are white. This dichotomy was highlighted by a tweet from longtime Boston sports columnist Steve Buckley, who noted, [B]asically, its the white Sox wholl be going.
JD Martinez is a man among toddlers in that group.
Well we certainly wouldnt want REDS in the Trump WH.
Successful, rich racists blaming Whitey for the self-inflicted failures of fellow racists.
Disappointing.
Perhaps this racial divide is why they’re playing so bad.
Cora needs to go back to PR and spearhead a movement to separate PR from its current commonwealth status. NO statehood for crooked leeches. Good riddance.
“[B]asically, its the white Sox wholl be going.”
Stay home then, ingrates and ignoramuses.
Instead of blaming Trump, racists like Cora need to get off their millionaire a$$es and do something about corrupt Puerto Rico (if they really cared which is doubtful).
Typical Bostonian jagoffery.
Leftists always find racial differences impossible to ignore it seems. They dont value people for who they are...they value people based on what color they are.
FLASHBACK: Media Attacked NHL Player For Skipping White House Visit Under Obama
Ironically, that story ALSO involved a Boston athlete (Tim Thomas, who was the Bruins goaltender on their 2011 Stanley Cup championship team.
Instead you chose to not take advantage of the opportunity and just continue to complain about a problem.
You sir are a failed leader, opportunity presented itself and you failed to take advantage. This is the message you have sent to your team! Way to go......
I hope for this baseball season your players follow your lead and don't take advantage of opportunities, just return to complain to their team members and the press!
This .500 club with the biggest payroll in MLB never heard of the Trump Curse. Welcome to third place!
“Those opting out of the trip are all people of color, while those planning to attend (with the exception of designated hitter J.D. Martinez, who is of Cuban descent) are white.”
I have a serious problem with this terminology: one is people, one is not. This “people of color” nonsense has to stop.
They are acting like Middle School girls.
“You can’t be my friend, if you are friends with Judy, because I don’t like Judy. So there.”
Maybe this dissension among the team members will cause the Red Sox to lose more games. I hope it does.
Cora is partially to blame for any divide. He should make it clear that players are free to do as they choose but need to respect the opinion of the others, also.
What would have been said if “crackers” refused Barack’s invitation to The Hut?
BOOOOOOO!!!!
