The professor thinks global warming is pseudoscience and a religion. This speech is hilarious and provides some great ammunition in case one ever has an argument with a global warming believer.
Here's an example of the Professor's humor...
[According to a global warming study] Body size shrinks because of global warming.He must have included Al Gore in his observations.The shrinking victims, according to the study, included cotton, corn, strawberries, bay scallops, shrimp, crayfish, carp, Atlantic salmon, herring, frogs, toads, iguanas, hooded robins, red-billed gulls, California squirrels, lynx, and wood rats.
Unfortunately, this does not apply to people.
My observation is that people get bigger because of global warming.

The optimal temperature needs to be much higher than we have [presently.
The whole planet was much healthier 500 years ago, when temps were about 5 degrees higher. (when wine grapes grew in northern Greenland)

I always wondered why that ice-covered island was called Greenland. I never believed it was ancient sarcasm.
In this case, less so, because they are based on actual mortality stats. Cold kills.
Even hot weather outliers, like the 2003 European heat wave, “only” killed 70,000 on the continent. However, the startling part of the stat wasn’t that it was extreme cold that was so deadly, but *moderate* cold.
That is, almost every year there is moderate cold, and mortality associated with it. This adds up and overwhelms intermittent deadly heat waves in numbers.
