I strongly believe that before 2020, there will be so many absolutely horrific disclosures & successful prosecutions and long prison terms and maybe some executions of outrageous evils on the part of so many DIMRATS—particularly upper ranks, that the DIMRAT party will be in shreds—probably not to rise again in any similar form for decades, if that.

I like your optimism. But we know Mad Maxine will be pushing for impeachment and that will have to be fought by President Trump instead of him furthering his agenda for the American people.

I will just hate having all the MSM’s constant drumbeat of impeachment stories.

It will make me sick.
...
I am right there with you with the disbelief factor. I have trouble believing that we lost the house without tremendous election hacking machine hacking Soros diebold machine hacking and other factors. I just don’t see where the left without illegal aliens and dead people voting and somehow us not being able to control that would happen in this country. With the number of people in favor of President Trump I just don’t see how this happened. I would not understand how we can continue to push tax cuts how we can grow jobs and even how the stock market would continue to go up with people coming after President Trump 24/7 now. Ryan must have been actively helping Soros and the other people in this loss. I’m usually one of the most optimistic people here on Free Republic but I doubt I’m going to be able to go back to sleep now. I actually went to sleep trusting that everything was well in hand and made the mistake of checking my phone on the way to the bathroom in the middle of the night. Sessions is going to be proven to be a very good player for President Trump or is a dirty SOB who is sold out to Pelosi and Soros. I really don’t know which one it’s going to be. I do not understand how Steve Bannon and Larry could have been so wrong if these totals hold up. Again election hacking voter fraud illegal aliens and other Shenanigans have to have been in play for this election.
In the races that we supposedly lost in the house I would like to see where the vote totals compare to the eligible voting roll totals. I would bet that the voting totals outnumber the number of registered voters.

94% of the GA vote is in and Kemp is winning by 4.

https://results.enr.clarityelections.com/GA/91639/Web02-state.216038/#/

He’s at 51.41%. We need to avoid a runoff here.

Close to 58% of GA voters turned out.... including me.

“I still think that you should not be able to call house races before the polls close on the west coast. I think Fox blew this and I am seriously giving up on their station.”

I’m glad I didn’t tune in.

Hasn’t Florida been this way for years? I recall Gore almost winning it and Obama winning it twice. Seems to me the immigration problem most affecting Florida comes from the foreign country of Los Neuvo Joisey.

You’re right, it’s a bloody miracle that Cruz won. Ironic that Trump probably saved his bacon with his rally.

If there’s anything I’ve learned about politics, is that timing matters.

It took Jimmy Carter to give us Reagan.

It took Barack Obama to give us Donald Trump. I know a lot of us thought the world had ended after he won reelection in 2012. God knew. Of course He knew, He knows all, clearly.

He still knows all.

It might be that we need 2 years of a narrow D House to get things timed right for 2020. I obviously don’t know that, but as I get older, I increasingly see how much the timing matters to the long term.

Should the Dems carry through with a narrow House majority they won’t be able to stop themselves from shooting themselves in the foot. They just can’t. Their party establishment has lost control of its crazy elements.

56 is short of the high water mark of 58 in 1928. Its an excellent result.

Many of the new Democrats didn’t come to Congress to impeach Trump. They want to get reelected in 2020.

morphing libertarian:

I wouldn’t say that. Heck, Gore was closer to Bush in 2000 than Scott vs. Nelson and DeSantis vs. Gillum was tonight. Catholic immigrants and their descendants like myself (ancestors from Sicily) and my wife (Polish ancestry) voted heavily for FDR, Truman and JFK some 75% of the time. By 1980, 55 to 60% voted for Reagan.

All those Puerto Ricans who settled in Florida may open businesses, have better jobs, and view Republican run Florida as more desirable that how Puerto Rico was run, which was more leftist Democrat.

Love Christ and your neighbor and be at peace. Let Him guide your free will and all will be well. Others may find comfort from organized religion, but no one can force it on you.

I think after a few months the gridlock will stop. They just don’t have enough majority to make it work.

Nothing they do will pass the Senate so the power is in the reconciliation process where I hope McConnell grows some. If not he should step aside and let someone else control the Senate.

Ok, it’s almost all in in NJ-2. Atlantic City.

We lost by 6 points. Only 6. A stronger candidate holds the seat and this guy, who no one thought could even come close to winning, could have won with some damn money and support. GOP messed up that race.

The rat in NJ-5 that beat Garret last time wins by 11 against a guy with no money. This one needs to be on the list for 2020.

Lance is gone, narrowly.

McArthur hanging on by a thread with 99%.

I agree with you. I did some research and the last guy who ran for President and came out strongly against illegal immigration and enforcing our laws was doomed by the Latino vote. Oh, wait.

What are the issues the dems are going to push over the next two years? To me it looks like a reverse of the tax cuts; more immigration; Trump impeachment; Gun Control and the deficit.

The first one is a non starter. More immigration, not a winner either. Deficit, hard to defend that. Impeachment, a winner for Trump. More gun issues, probably a loser as most people surveyed do not want it and more importantly, any anti 2A issues will get killed in the SC. So, they have a phyric victory tonight with the narrow house win.
