A Project Veritas video released Wednesday night deals a shocking blow to the campaign of Florida’s Democrat gubernatorial hopeful Andrew Gillum.
Omar Smith, who is a staffer for Gillum, said that if Gillum is elected “None of the programs that people are hoping for would happen.”
When questioned on whether or not voters knew that, Smith responded, “That’s not for them to know” and insisted that it be kept a secret.
“So, let’s go back to Mr. Gillum’s platform, right?” said Smith, who claims to have attended college with Gillum. “Raise the corporate tax in Florida from 7 to 11 percent. That will never happen. Raise teacher’s pay to $50,000, that will never happen. Give me another position. Medicare for all, that will never happen.”
Smith continued by slamming the state of Florida and using racial slurs and referring to white people as “crackers.”
“This is a f***ed up state,” said Smith. “It’s a cracker state.”
Smith also stated in the undercover video that the campaign has “to appeal to white guilt.”

You are right about that. A few election cycles ago, I was watching the news on election night. Some idiot reporter was doing her “man on the street” human interest story by interviewing “people of color” as they finished voting. She got ahold of one young lady who left her speechless.

- I’m very interested in what’s going on in our city and country, and I had to get involved.
- So, you educated yourself and wanted to take part in this critical election?
- Yes.
- And for you, what’s the most important race in this election?
- Black.
Let’s hope the polls are wrong and the impressive GOP Early Voting is the real trend. That way we won’t have to worry about about any damage he might do to FL.
Unsurprising - it was the story of 2008 and it’s definitely the story of 2018 in Georgia.
appealing to white guilt only works in Hollywood and the Northeast. The rest of us are over it.
send it to the Cuban papers - they’ll have a field day with it. I never met a single Cuban that had ‘white guilt’ or tried to use ‘white guilt’ as a tactic.
The headline misleadingly attributes the quote to Gillum. It wasn’t Gillum who said it. It was his staffer. Please read the article before you post. It helps. I want Gillum out of here just as much as you do, but dishonest articles with misleading headers only add fuel to the other side’s fire.
Has he even had a hit since Margaritaville?
Mexico beach got hammered, not the entire region. It’s just one little town and I’m sure their voting won’t be affected. Gillum will get Tallahassee to vote, but that’s surrounded by hard core republicans. His base is the college kids, not the population that lives there.
That video needs to be put on the air and the net.
I know it was his staffer. It can still be used as campaign material.
