Migrants traveling in a caravan through southern Mexico have rejected a proposal by President Enrique Pena Nieto that they apply for refugee status in the country and obtain benefits.
Coordinators of the caravan read out the president’s plan called “You are at home.” Migrants shouted “Gracias!” but “No, we’re heading north!”
Activist Irineo Mujica of the Pueblo sin Fronteras group is supporting the migrants in the caravan. He told the group that 80 percent of those who apply for protective status would be rejected and deported.

What's indisputable here is that weak as it is, and as concerned about its own security as it is, Mexico has issued a very, very generous offer to the migrants that they've turned up their noses at.
Which tells us one thing: That the migrant caravan isn't comprised of the sweet little daisies seeking asylum from violence that the press, the NGOs and the Catholic Church are portraying, but a group of hardcore pick-and-choose activists who will settle for nothing less than U.S. benefit packages, borders and U.S. rule of law, be damned. They want what they want, they want it for free and they want it on their own terms. They're political activists hellbent on teaching Trump a lesson and helping themselves to the U.S. taxpayer-paid goodies, not people fleeing violence and grateful for whatever they can get, the way real refugees, such as the fleeing Venezuelans, are. These mostly military-aged young men, often with criminal records, have a message to send, and they're happy to act as pawns for their NGO masters.

If we keep the house,and give the republicans a solid majority, we better have that wall almost completed before 2020.

Ultimately, Trump and DHS are going to have to establish that, despite lacking a wall, our borders are secure and cannot be breached by any size "caravan."
Given Trump's proven record of problem solving, I am confident he can find and implement the optimal solution here.

These caravan illegal invaders already have disgraceful attitudes of entitlement.
This reminds me of my experience working in our parish’s foodbank. It was common for the homeless/poor people getting free large food boxes being angry because for that week we didn’t have peanut butter. Or coffee. Etc.
They will try and overrun the checkpoints and nasty violence will ensue.

I agree, and what will the military do? Shoot them? I’m praying that the military has a good plan for repelling them without CNN headlines reading “Trump orders the shooting of women and children.”
The DEMs,way down in their gut,want the shooting death of one of the immigrants.
It would be Kent State,writ large——anti Trump ammunition to get people worked up.

More evidence these INVADERS are not the kind and compassionate people you are claiming they are. They are ALL political pawns/activists and are being used as useful idiots of the left. Maybe this evidence to prove they aren’t seeking asylum from violence in Guatemala and Honduras, and they won’t settle for anything less than the US for the freebies like welfare and healthcare will wake you up to this BS once and for all. Interesting how the downtrodden and helpless are making DEMANDS huh? Is your bleeding heart still beating?
Why don’t they want to live in Mexico?
They obviously must be racists.
The fact that they don’t want to stay in Mehico and come to America later, after sapping the Mehicans first for their free stuff, tells us that Soros and gang are paying them more than whatever the Mehicans offered.
My bet is ‘two hundred or so’ members of the caravan (equal numbers of men women and children) will arrive at the border in time for there to be a ‘Kent State’ photo op...
