As recently as 2013, when the Senate passed an immigration bill with bipartisan support, a significant portion of the Republican Party backed immigration reform - including a path to citizenship for some of the 12 million people living in the United States illegally.

First off it’s not been 12 million for 20 years, more like in excess of 30 million.
Second, and most importantly, EVERY ONE of the Bush League Republicans that has blocked the citizens from stopping the illegal alien inundation and has advocated for the abandonment of the rule of law with amnesty MUST be removed from office.
McCain is dead, Flake, Hatch and Corker all quit, but the only bright spot in their replacements is Blackburn in TN.
Alexander and Graham are up in 2020, they MUST be replaced.
Rubio, Murkowsky and Hoeven have to go in 2022.
As opposed to Democrats who drive Illegal Invaders to the Polls to cast their (illegal) Votes against Republicans.

I believe illegal immigration is the modern proxy for military invasions from previous generations. Competing nations cannot overcomes us by military or economic means, so they encourage unskilled low wage labor to invade us. If they can turn North America into South America, the United States will eventually slip from being a World Power.
