More than 10,000 city workers stopped paying union dues
By Rich Calder 1-2 minutes
More than 10,000 city workers stopped paying their union dues after the landmark Supreme Court decision in June gave them the right to end the payments.
City records show that there were 314,770 city workers paying union dues prior to the Janus v. AFSCME ruling on June 27 that found government workers cant be forced to pay dues to unions that represent them in collective bargaining.
By the first July pay period following the decision, the number dropped by 10,328 or 3 percent to 304,442.
That cost the unions about $250,000 for that two-week period.
The Supreme Court by a 5-4 ruling declared that fees collected from non-union members in lieu of dues violated their First Amendments protections against forced speech. It was hailed as a huge victory for conservatives.

The rest are getting threatened
Hmm. Could have something to do with why Richard Trumka is in such a sour mood these days.
HA!-HA!-HA!-HA!-HA!-HA!-HA!-HA!-HA!-HA!-HA!-HA!-HA!-HA!-HA!-HA!-HA!-HA!-HA!-HA!-HA!-HA!-HA!-HA!-HA!-HA!-HA!-HA!-HA!-HA!-HA!-HA!-HA!-HA!-HA!-HA!-HA!-HA!-HA!-HA!-HA!-HA!-HA!-HA!-HA!-HA!-HA!-HA!-HA!-HA!-HA!-HA!-HA!-HA!-HA!-HA!-HA!-HA!-HA!-HA!-HA!-HA!-HA!-HA!-HA!-HA!-HA!-HA!-HA!-HA!-HA!-HA!-HA!-HA!-HA!-HA!-HA!-HA!-HA!-HA!-HA!-HA!-HA!-HA!-HA!-HA!-HA!-HA!-HA!-HA!-HA!-HA!-HA!-HA!-HA!-HA!-HA!-HA!-HA!-HA!-HAR-DEE-HAR!!!
Love it, love it, LOVE IT!
By the first July pay period following the decision, the number dropped by 10,328 or 3 percent to 304,442.
So only 304,442 too scared to whiz or get off the pot union members to go.
To be fair, perhaps many actually agree with the democrat platform...
More of these results need to be broadcast to help others know they can quit their unions. Set workers free!
I doubt 97% of them do.
Why is there an entire heavy FIELD ARMY of city employees in a single city?
It takes 3.6 % of the entire population to properly regulate a city?
Only 3%?
Demonrats won’t like that.
The rest of them are trying to Out Run multiple guys with Pipes and Pipe Wrenches
(Been there Done that... the correct response is to out run them... then come back on EACH Individual with your own Pipe)
You know where they Work, maybe where they Live and what they Drive to Work... Worked for me ... YMMV
I know they do and are proud to pay in. Its a lifestyle no different then a college administrator in many cases.
HA HA
The theft is OVER.
I would imagine some havent gotten around to it yet and a chunk are waiting to see in unions do anything in next contract. Its starting and a long road ahead but it will happen. Unions are on borrowed time.
Thank you Bruce Rauner
