President Trump put the kibosh on a White House statement that praised John McCain as a “hero” — and instead decided to issue a tweet that only mentioned the late senator’s family, a report said Sunday.

Jesus didn’t get a funeral but this guy gets to lie in state in three locations, has a cross-country procession, is eulogized by ex-presidents and other dignitaries and is buried in honor at his alma mater. Someone explain this to me. I pity the midshipmen in the future who’ll have to guard his grave against those wishing to pay their last respects.
