“Dear America, appreciate your allies, after all you don’t have that many,” Tusk, a former Polish prime minister, said after a signing statement on more cooperation between the European Union and the North Atlantic Treaty Organization.
As European Council president, Tusk serves as the chairman when EU leaders meet at summits.
Even while in the air, Trump kept up the attack. He said in a Twitter post that a trade deficit with the European Union “makes it impossible for our farmers and workers and companies to do business in Europe … and then they want us to happily defend them through NATO, and nicely pay for it. Just doesn’t work!” …

To really be an ally, one has to be trusted and that depends on meeting commitments and stepping up to do one’s part in the relationship. However, Europe is not doing that. They just want a free ride at our expense. The party is about to end.
When he finishes with “after all, you don’t have that many”, that’s not just a veiled threat.

NATO served a purpose when there was a USSR. British Field Marshal Harold Ismay said it best: “NATO exists to keep the Americans in, the Russians out, and the Germans down.” Seems to me that there is no point to the first, little threat of the second, and the third has already failed.
Trump should tell him that they are responsible for their defense after tomorrow. And that we will sit by and laugh as they get slaughtered by the muslims they are importing. Tusk, have you lost your head? The answer will soon be yes.
