Saying something like that in public will certainly rattle them quite a bit. May as well do it now before they can actually unite in the way they want to; keep them divided on that particular issue and they’ll have no choice but to actually listen to the people they claim to represent.

They showed it back in 2003.

In the long run, I believe they would be speaking Russian now.

I agree with you. I’m just saying give PJDT time. We will find out who our true allies are, and move forward from this. Our Potus is all about MAGA in everything he does!

I think we can manage without “allies” who can afford to build “socialist” nanny state societies in their own countries, because the American taxpayer is taking up the slack when these countries don’t even meet their small minimum requirements regarding their share of NATO funding. As they say, with friends like these...

Their alliance is directly proportional to our charity. These second and third rate countries still think they are dealing with Obama. At the end of the day, followers follow, and Trump will be leading.

I was re-reading “Germany Plots with the Kremlin” by T.H. Tetens recently, and at the heart of the EU going back to Konrad Adenauer’s time was anti-Americanism. The plan was to bleed the USA for all they could (while re-establishing Germany’s dominance of the continent), and then go Molotov-Ribbentrop with the Soviets as soon as possible in order to pull the legs out from under the US. Even with the USSR gone, they still have the same plan, even if it means with Putin’s regime; things like the Nord Stream pipeline are part of it.

Of course, plenty of leftists in the USA were on board with this notion way back then as well. We even had an “American Committee on United Europe” that helped in the desanguination of the USA by playing up the threat of the USSR while helping Bonn make several overtures of friendship towards Moscow.

That they are, and they seem to have come to believe, not unlike some of our domestic “entitled” groups, that they are just owed it to have their defense paid for on the backs of American taxpayers, so that they can spend their “extra” money virtue-signaling by giving benefits to young, healthy, male “asylum seekers”. Their own citizens should be pizzed when things happen like having their second homes confiscated to give to “asylum seekers”, almost as much as American taxpayers should be pizzed at taking up their defense slack. They seem to really think that that’s just the way it should be, as if American taxpayers might not have a thing or two to say about that.

Maybe it's time to pull out of Europe and let these buffoons defend themselves.

We should pull out of NATO, too. Europe has enough wealth to pay for its own defense.

But we know that friends you have to buy aren’t really friends.

WWII was over 73 years ago.

There is no reason that the USA should have had to carry much of the burden for European security for all those years.

Part of the way Europe can afford its various socialist handouts is because American taxpayers have been (and still are) paying the lion’s share of their security costs.

I have a very personal reason for despising them. EU regulations have utterly destroyed the centuries-old art of perfumery, and fine/vintage perfume is something very close to my heart. They can keep their cuisine, their high fashion, etc-they destroyed classic perfumery, and for that the EU is my sworn enemy.

Worse, their regulations affect the global perfumery business, as you can’t even sell perfume in EU countries (one of the largest consumers) if you don’t abide by the EU regulations in the making of perfume you may want or need to sell there.

For this, I hate the EU with a vengeance.

A dear friend from Scotland puts it this way: Why should we build _____(military hardware such as Submarines?) The Americans will do it for us!

How about this? “We are so sick and tired of having the USA protect us that we are willing to provoke you suckers into kicking our asses, financially or letting the Russians kick our asses into the 22nd Century.

I submit that we should let this happen!

Suicide is a nasty thing to witness.

Surely they understand that they can’t afford to spend on defense at levels which would replace what the US now spends on their behalf, and still have the socialist welfare states so dear to their hearts.

Yeah... given that Cold War USSR is dissolved, it’s cheap and easy for Europe to say to America, “who needs you?”

It’s because Trump is sitting tall in the saddle that most of their problems are the problems they personally invite, such as large Muslim populations.

Let history snicker at these fools.
