Russia Today (RT) reports that a delegation of 30 South African farming families has arrived in Russias farm belt Stavropol Region with the group apparently saying it is facing violent attacks and death threats at home.
RT reports that according to the delegation, up to 15,000 farmers are planning to move to Russia. The group believes that government plans to expropriate their land will lead to increasing violence.
The report says that the farmers are prepared to contribute to Russias growing agricultural sector and each family is ready to bring up to $100,000 for leasing the land.
The report quotes It's a matter of life and death there are attacks on us. It's got to the point where the politicians are stirring up a wave of violence, Adi Slebus told the media. "The climate here [in the Stavropol region] is temperate, and this land is created by God for farming. All this is very attractive.

Moving to another Continent is a long term commitment, and while DJT is President it might be ok in Russia...however, I would NOT give 2 cents for any decisions after Putin is no longer in charge, or DJT is no longer President! I do not believe USA will forever be ok nor Russia....REVELATIONS in Bible proves that!
Now, there is another historical precedent that preceded the Soviet Union, and that is the case of the Volga Germans, who were invited by Catherine the Great, to help modernize Russian agriculture. Initially they were promised autonomy. But eventually the Russians demanded they be “Russianized”. As a result, many of the Volga Germans fled to the US, many settling in the Dakotas.
The S African Farmers would be better off in a country not as communist as Russia, it is going to be a free for all, once Putin is gone. He has created stability there for the time being!
History does repeat itself, over time, and usually not all good! I’m glad Trump will have two terms, as this country needs that time of prosperity to recover and reclaim the Obama losses.
I'm sure that there is a certain number of South African immigrants legally allowed migrate each year.
And since the constitution does not require a legal degree to serve on the US Supreme Court, at least one could be appointed to the bench there. It would likely have a positive impact on the court.
So appoint someone who knows nothing of our laws or our Constitution or our legal system to the highest court in the land? Sure, what could possibly go wrong there? </sarcasm>
Any South African that wants to become a US citizen should be required to affirm that they will judge fellow citizens by the content of their character and not the color of their skin - a good concept which is now out of vogue with US citizens of the liberal persuasion.
Most Americans don't do that, why require immigrants from South Africa?
“Most Americans don’t do that, why require immigrants from South Africa?”
Because I anticipated your next objection to rescuing white South African emigrants who are endangered in their home country because of the color of their skin.
South Africa's Afrikaners & the generations of Americans that emerged from our Revolution, almost certainly had more historically parallel experiences than either had with any other people on earth. Also, the Leftist smears of the settler population, there, completely misrepresented what the separate development policy was all about.
Note the section on "Apartheid Revisited" in my article on "Perspective & Focus" in the Debate Handbook:
The insanity of the let's pretend that everyone within former Colonial Administrative borders constitute a single nation, has already led to genocidal atrocities in Rwanda, Uganda, the K\Congo, Nigeria, etc. See "Democracy" In The Third World.
Why is it our job to rescue them?
Well done
How anyone on a conservative forum could lament the acceptance and contributions of white South Africans agricultural refugees being forced from their homelands they settled around the same time Roundheads settled our own in the north and Cavaliers and Huguenots settled ours in the south belies that posters own objectives and prejudices that are already well known to me
Thanks to you both
We need more of Afrikaner stock not less its the Russias benefit and our loss
The only reason we dont actively pursue their migration to here is their skin color and the hint they must be racists
Our self inflicted destruction in this matter overall is nothing short of giving ourselves late stage cultural cancer
No one on this forum should support policies that do that
there are a few million there. Actually Putin would be smart to bring these productive people to increase the sagging Russian population.
I wish we could have had them come here, but no, we are only allowed to take unskilled and uneducated third world people who will vote democrat.
Our loss, Russia’s gain.
My only hope is that they take the rest of the good people from SA. There are more than farmers, and I am sure there are some bad eggs but weeding the bad eggs out still leaves a lot of people who need resettlement, and Russia needs vital bodies.
I agree. :-)
Free people are never free to do anything - but the right thing.
That may be a little too developmental for someone north of a certain line so let me appeal to your Puritan love of money.
Allowing legal immigration of South Africans - perhaps even a surge of South Africans - could be a positive for the U.S. economy. President Trump is on record, of course, supporting legal immigration of skilled workers.
As noted previously, the legal immigration of educated South Africans to the United States would be good for our country. They could be machinists; or heart surgeons (they have the history); and world history teachers in US public schools.
Once they get US citizenship, they would be excellent candidates for local, state, and federal office. We need educated people to run for public office. There seems to be a shortage.
In our little town, we need five intelligent candidates for city council right now; can't find them. Baltimore needs intelligent candidates for public office. As does Memphis. As does Chicago. As does Seattle, and Stockton, and Austin and so forth and so on.
And since the constitution does not require a legal degree to serve on the U.S. Supreme Court, one could be appointed to the bench there. It would likely have a positive impact on the court. There's a high probability that any South African farmer is pro-western and that has been a real problem in recent decades in the U.S. - finding pro-western candidates for the Supreme Court.
You think that's a joke. I think Ginsburg, Breyer, Sotomayor, and Kagan are the jokes.
I find most of your posts to be a joke.
You may find the following chuckle-worthy:

Why would I find that amusing?
Just down the road from me, there is a farm with 110 acres up for sale. The “For Sale” signs have been up for months. Sure would be nice if a South African farmer knew about it and bought it. We’re a safe, family friendly community with farms that are being sold for development. I’d rather see healthy, thriving farms rather than housing developments here.
