“Why is it our job to rescue them?”

Free people are never free to do anything - but the right thing.

That may be a little too developmental for someone north of a certain line so let me appeal to your Puritan love of money.

Allowing legal immigration of South Africans - perhaps even a surge of South Africans - could be a positive for the U.S. economy. President Trump is on record, of course, supporting legal immigration of skilled workers.

As noted previously, the legal immigration of educated South Africans to the United States would be good for our country. They could be machinists; or heart surgeons (they have the history); and world history teachers in US public schools.

Once they get US citizenship, they would be excellent candidates for local, state, and federal office. We need educated people to run for public office. There seems to be a shortage.

In our little town, we need five intelligent candidates for city council right now; can't find them. Baltimore needs intelligent candidates for public office. As does Memphis. As does Chicago. As does Seattle, and Stockton, and Austin and so forth and so on.

And since the constitution does not require a legal degree to serve on the U.S. Supreme Court, one could be appointed to the bench there. It would likely have a positive impact on the court. There's a high probability that any South African farmer is pro-western and that has been a real problem in recent decades in the U.S. - finding pro-western candidates for the Supreme Court.

You think that's a joke. I think Ginsburg, Breyer, Sotomayor, and Kagan are the jokes.

You think that's a joke.

I find most of your posts to be a joke.
