But for some reason they're only focusing on an assistant wrestling coach.

Hmmm... (rubs chin). Couldn't possibly have anything to do with Jim Jordan's current employment, could it?

I'm sure not at all.

Ryan has his hand prints on a lot of scummy back-stabbing.

Five former wrestlers, including former UFC world champion Mark Coleman, said this week that Rep. Jim Jordan was aware of, but didn’t respond to, allegations of sexual misconduct by an Ohio State University team doctor when the lawmaker was an assistant wrestling coach there in the 1990s.

I didn’t find a DC article about Coleman.

Paul wants to leave good ole boy McCarthy in place as the next speaker. This plays into his hand.

I'm sure not at all.

This really starts making OSU look bad. Looks like there were complaints from most all sports and many of them with far more participants and coaches than the wrestling team. There had to be several dozen coaches in a better position than Jim Jordan to know about any complaints, probably a dozen on the football team alone.

Is there a formal paper trail?

Did anyone file a complaint or report at anytime while Strauss was allegedly abusing them?

Estimates are 1500 - 2000. How do you estimate this number? What can it be based on? Multiple repeating of rumors?

Until someone produces a formal complaint in writing from the period when Jordan was assistant coach the cases are allegations and rumors.

We'll have to wait to see what the investigation uncovers.

With such a success against Moore, now the strategy to get rid of Republicans, with Republican help, is to throw out accusations. Not evidence, mind you, only an accusation. An accusation is just as good as evidence. Just ask Hannity.

“Ryan is correct in waiting for the results of an investigation before committing.”

Wouldn’t you feel more comfortable snuggling up to Hillary, than posting on this site?

Thanks- but still- the students themselves had only to call the police- then the school would be forced to acknowledge the charges- supposedly there were 1500 victims? (according to one poster) Noone had enough foresight to call the police?

Former UFC heavyweight champion Mark Coleman on Thursday became fifth former OSU wrestler to accuse Jordan of not taking action while serving as an assistant coach, saying that unless Jordan has "dementia" he knew about the alleged abuse.

DaxtonBrown wrote: Really??? One of the toughest guys in the freaking WORLD allowed himself to be perved? And took no action himself? And 20 years later comes forward??

Mark Daniel Coleman (born December 20, 1964) is a retired American mixed martial artist, professional wrestler, former NCAA collegiate wrestler and former Olympic amateur wrestler.

Known as The Hammer, he was the UFC 10 and UFC 11 tournament champion, the first UFC Heavyweight Champion, and the Pride Fighting Championships 2000 Open Weight Grand Prix champion.

At UFC 82 Coleman was inducted into the UFC Hall of Fame.

Mark Coleman is either a faggot himself, or he was in on the sexual abuse ring.

Either way, he's a lying POS.

Who finds this ODD? https://www.breitbart.com/big-government/2018/07/03/law-firm-for-dnc-clinton-campaign-fusion-gps-will-question-jim-jordan-on-ohio-state-wrestling-team-scandal/ “...NEW YORK — Perkins Coie, the law firm obtained by Ohio State University to probe molestation allegations by former student wrestlers against their team doctor, paid the controversial Fusion GPS firm to produce the largely discredited, infamous anti-Trump dossier that sparked collapsed claims that President Trump’s 2016 campaign colluded with Russia.
Perkins Coie has also been the law firm for the Democratic National Committee (DNC) and represented Hillary Clinton’s 2016 presidential campaign...”

College age makes them adults. If something untoward went on, they had the responsibility/right to file charges — initially with the University and subsequently with the police.

Did they? There would be a record.

Shifting ‘responsibility’ to Jordan, who was apparently only a staff member, that he ‘should have known’ doesn’t fly.

With the Hastert situation, IIRC there were paper trails and and a history of money exchanges.

Initially, this sounds like a case of the seriousness of the allegations outweighing the substance. [Ref: politics of personal destruction and scorched earth.]

[[But for some reason they’re only focusing on an assistant wrestling coach.]]

The reason is because he is a republican and trying out for speaker of house position- if it were a democrat- the left msm would never ever cover the story unless absolutely forced to- and then they would lie and protect the man or woman-
