Paul Ryan ‘will await the findings’ of Jim Jordan investigation
The Hill ^ | 07/07/18 | John Bowden

Speaker Paul Ryan (R-Wis.) reiterated through a spokesman on Friday that he is still awaiting an investigation to be completed over allegations that Rep. Jim Jordan (R-Ohio) knew about claims of sexual abuse involving the Ohio State University wrestling team.

"These are serious allegations and issues," Ryan's spokesman Doug Andres told USA Today in an email. "The university has rightfully initiated a full investigation into the matter. The speaker will await the findings of that inquiry."

Ryan's office had released the statement earlier this week amid the July 4 recess, but reiterated his position after more former wrestlers at Ohio State accused Jordan, a leader of the House Freedom Caucus, of knowing about alleged sexual abuse by the team doctor and not taking action.

Former UFC heavyweight champion Mark Coleman on Thursday became fifth former OSU wrestler to accuse Jordan of not taking action while serving as an assistant coach, saying that unless Jordan has "dementia" he knew about the alleged abuse.

“There’s no way unless he’s got dementia or something that he’s got no recollection of what was going on at Ohio State,” Coleman said. “I have nothing but respect for this man, I love this man, but he knew as far as I’m concerned.”

One of Jordan’s former wrestlers, Dunyasha Yetts, came forward this week and said that he and his teammates personally complained to Jordan and others about a team doctor’s inappropriate sexual behavior many times.

Jordan pushed back strongly against the accusations in a Fox News interview Friday night, arguing that conversations in the locker room did not amount to formal accusations and saying that no one directly reported abuse to him.

“Conversations in a locker room are a lot different than allegations of abuse or reported abuse,” Jordan said Friday, adding that “no one ever reported any abuse to me.”

Is there a formal paper trail?

Did anyone file a complaint or report at anytime while Strauss was allegedly abusing them?

Good questions. I haven't seen much detail of what was or was not done during the years when this was taking place.

Where do the 1500-2000 figures come from?

Mark Coleman is the same age as Jim Jordan. So what kind of authority could Jordan have at that time to protect a 22 year old wrestler from a Doctor?

What a joke

Interesting - makes it seem like another staged Dim/Soros operation.

I can imagine the locker room discussion: “That f***** was looking at my junk for a sprained thumb. Yeah, well, he grabbed me once and squeezed pretty hard. Yeah, well, I heard he looks at all the guys. That’s true - he always showers with us - the school really likes him.” That kind of conversation??? Jordan’s innocent.

We'll have to wait to see what the investigation uncovers.

The more we learn, the more it's apparent that the media has done a truly pathetic job of reporting this story as it relates to Jim Jordan. Other good questions.

1. Strauss apparently killed himself in 2005. Was the scandal known to the public at that time?

2. Did OSU ever investigate the accusations against Strauss when they are said to have been made, pre-2005?

3. When did the scandal first become known to the public as a news story?

Yep. Paul Ryan “should have known” about Denny Hastert. Why didn’t he do something?

Not just Denny. Think about the slush fund to pay off all of the accusers of con-gre$$ pervs. No way that happens without every single one of them knowing about it. How could it?

Of course he would say that. He’s bought and wholly owned by his donor-owners.

March 2015: After filming and returning home his hip popped out several times and pain began on the other side. He has struggled with and lived with the pain for well over a year and became very ill a couple weeks ago.

He was taken to hospital doctor checked him out and had to stay for four days on antibiotics, when released he went to see hip doctor again and scheduled to have surgery on March 9th, only to discover while open on operating table he was full of infection and very close to being septic and lucky to have caught this!

He is currently in hospitalized with a plastic hip until full surgery can be perofrmed in April. Mark currently has no income. His insurance is about to end, and we are currently looking into disability.

I am looking to raise funds to help his cost of living, doctor bills, medication, and make up what he will lose in the next few months in appearances he will miss. Anything will help and thank you dearly! God Bless!"

As CaptainK wrote: "Mark Coleman is the same age as Jim Jordan. So what kind of authority could Jordan have at that time to protect a 22 year old wrestler from a Doctor?"

Mark Daniel Coleman (born December 20, 1964)

James Daniel Jordan (born February 17, 1964)

Jim Jordan is 10 months older than Mark Coleman.

STFU, Coleman. Somebody is paying you.

If I may speak to the young people:

if you want a career in politics, avoid being a wrestling coach. Everybody will assume you are into kids, and they may be right.

That’s it. Good day.

Has Paul Ryan ever steadfastly stood up to defend Trump or any other Conservative? For that matter, has he ever dedicated himself to implementing Conservative policy.

Paul Ryan is a total waste of time. He’s worthless.

Ticks me off that they even used the word 'investigation'. This is just another BS scheme to take down a man who has the backbone to stand up against them.

This has SWAMP written all over it. And it pisses me off.

Any and all information that comes as a result of Patriots digging into the fraud and fraudsters lining up against Jim Jordan needs to go to Congressman Jordan ASAP.

As they always say, follow the money especially in politics!!

Later on, when Coleman was a UFC fighter and DiSabato was running an athletic merchandising business, the two men worked together. Coleman endorsed DiSabato’s merchandise at least once, wearing a camouflage t-shirt made by DiSabato’s business during a fight in Dublin.

And DiSabato also acted as Coleman’s manager for at least a while. In 2009, DiSabato got mixed press when he loudly attacked one of Coleman’s rivals, Tito Ortiz. DiSabato, known for his combative style, made inflammatory comments about Ortiz’s wife and said Ortiz might have given Coleman “swine flu.”

Actually it was released in April, before the attack angle on Jordan went public, that OSU hired Perkins Coie to investigate allegations RE the long dead doctor. Don’t know off they’re being paid through the rich athletic department funds or through general university, ie. taxpayer, funds.

Note to Paul Ryan:

When the democrats controlled the House, they lorded their power over you and anything Republican.

Grow a pair.

Whether it’s impeaching rogue judges, disbanding courts or withholding money from seditious agencies, do something. Show there is something between your legs.
