Full title: Sarah Sanders response to being kicked out of restaurant: Owner's actions 'say far more about her than about me'

Short video at link.

White House press secretary Sarah Huckabee Sanders on Saturday responded to being kicked out of a Virginia restaurant after a server's post about the incident went viral.

Sanders confirmed the incident in a tweet, and said that she always treats those she disagrees with “respectfully.”

“Last night I was told by the owner of Red Hen in Lexington, VA to leave because I work for [President Trump] and I politely left,” Sanders tweeted. “Her actions say far more about her than about me. I always do my best to treat people, including those I disagree with, respectfully and will continue to do so.”

Jaike Foley-Schultz, a waiter at the restaurant, posted on Facebook that he served Sanders and her family “for a total of 2 minutes” before the owner asked the press secretary’s party to leave.

Trump critics and supporters alike took to the restaurant’s Facebook and Yelp pages to leave one- or five-star reviews responding to the incident. “If you are a whining liberal feel free to eat here, if you are a TRUE AMERICAN stay away,” one Facebook user wrote.

On the opposite end of the spectrum, a five-star Yelp review read: “The best. I've heard that they serve crow to those deserving of it.”

Sanders is the third Trump administration official to be recently targeted at a restaurant, in addition to Homeland Security Secretary Kirstjen Nielsen and White House senior adviser Stephen Miller.

For a boutique restaurant with $$$ prices ($31-$60 per person) I would think that they should welcome any and all white Pubbies to eat there.

Unlike Dem politicians, Sanders would have paid the bill with her own money and left a generous tip as well.

Wonder if Al Sharpton ever paid the millions that his campaign owed?

Phone taken out of service

Yep. I tried to call just to ask them how business is today. I'm sure it's hard to run a business with the phone ringing off the hook.

I’m reminded of when our wonderful President Reagan (not you, Bushes) spoke out as Governor of California when the Symbionese Liberation Army kidnapped Patty Hearst and the Hearst family had no choice but to meet their demands to pay for a million dollar free food distribution to the public: “wouldn’t it be nice for mass cases of botulism to break out among those taking the food bribe?”

See #111 to call an owner and make a reservation.

There’s an Italian place in Asbury Park called Jimmy’s that had photos like that (it is a Jewish deli & Italian thing!) - the owner, Jimmy, with Sinatra, etc. Very good restaurant, btw. When they redecorated, they removed all the photos of the deceased owner with stars. The place lost a lot of its quirky charm but the food is still good.

Yes, they stepped in a pile. Also, ICE might want to check if there are any illegal dishwashers.

Very well said! Many Dems and Libs purport to be so caring and open minded but that’s only toward those that agree with them.

The reviews make me happy.

This is a huge subject: freedom for people to live their lives and not be treated poorly because of their differences. Period.

And establishments selling to the public should serve everyone hygienic or behaving appropriately who enters. Refuse service only for bad hygiene or unsafe, uncontrolled behavior. It’s tricky, but fair.

We saw this in Nazi Germany. RAUS, JUDE. Treating people subhuman because of their beliefs.

Exactly...It's truly sad this type thing is happening here, it does show the true mind set of leftists and it's ugly.

“It is home to Washington and Lee University and Virginia Military Institute (VMI).”

And a Red Hen Restaurant that practices destructive politics. Maybe the cadets over at VMI need to “fall out” for a little rally over at the Red Hen!

Go on yelp and say your friends with the owner and she asked you to apologize on her behalf. Then say it was a misunderstanding and she voted for Trump. She can’t change it.

It’s where RE Lee is buried. I was recently there and had an iced tea at a lousy coffee shop but I don’t think it was the Red Hen. The area looks very upscale which usually means elitist snobbery. VMI, though, is there as well.

Next restaurant will probably POISON her and her kids!! Democrats are UNHINGED HATERS!

That's my concern too... Stupid Snowflakes could easily murder our people and 'the press' would blame it on Trump. A boycott of all liberal restaurants might be the safest choice... In seven years they'll all be out of business but we can make that happen sooner.
