Publix halts political contributions in face of protestor "die-in"

Publix is backing down in a standoff with survivors of this year's mass shooting at a Parkland, Florida high school, saying it has suspended political contributions.

The regional supermarket chain, which is based in Florida, announced its decision amid a "die-in" at several Publix stores in the state to protest the supermarket chain's financial support for a gubernatorial candidate who opposes gun control.

Publix said Friday in a statement that it will "suspend corporate-funded political contributions as we reevaluate our giving processes."

I truly thought Publix would laugh at him.

One final question to you who have worked at Publix longer than I have been a Freeper ( according to you)

Daily Wire and Fox News is running stories about Publix giving in to David Hogg and they both have pictures.

I notice a dozen or more teens lying on your Publix floor holding ....NO to NRA ....signs...
They should have been politely BUT FIRMLY told to take their signs and GET OUT!
They were not
They did what they came to do, they made their point.....and then they left.....leaving you to clean up the mess
Hogg even had the nerve to thank the police for protecting them.

I just heard you ( Publix) support Planned Parenthood......I don’t know if this is true.....the thought never crossed my mind.

So I’m wondering, Publix Representative, IF this is true and a dozen Prolife teens came in your door with Choose Life signs....
Would you have given them the same courtesy of taking up your floor space with cameras recording, etc.
