So if they take a break from Washington to go back to the district to meet with constituents they are being lazy.

If they spend all of their time in Washington and rarely return to their district they are a “swamp creature” who is out of touch with their constituents.

Got it.

Really hard to believe you’re sticking up for those vermin. 99% of them aren’t worth an ounce of spit.

What I was referring to was the potential for both of them being held in Contempt of Congress.

Not sure. I think the deep state is very very deep and also WIDE...

The letter said the Justice Department is open to other ways to accommodate the committee’s inquiry.

“Disclosure of responsive information to such requests can risk severe consequences, including potential loss of human lives, damage to relationships with valued international partners, compromise of ongoing criminal investigations, and interference with intelligence activities,” the letter read.

*******

me: Everything for the case against the deep state has to be within the law and it seems to be so enormous and so far reaching that we could not imagine the scope of the investigation.

That is what I am hoping.

LOL! I recall congressional Republicans held Eric Holder in contempt, he flipped them the bird, and Obama pardoned him. Holder and Obama laughed while the GOP shrugged their shoulders. And now we're looking at a situation where the GOP is going to hold Jeff Sessions in contempt? Unfreakingbelievable. What a useless gaggle of limp-wristed retards the entire party has become.

About time somebody took some ACTION other than talk, talk, talk!

After the contempt charges are filed Trump should dump Sessions a$$.

This is a little different. Rep Nunes is also going to take Sessions to court and force him to turn over the docs. Also Trump is not Obama and Trump too wants those docs given to Congress. DOJ will not get away with stonewalling Congress as long as Trump is president.

"The whole can of worms is about to explode."

That might very well be true, but not because of anything Jeff Sessions did. If it blows, it blows in spite Sessions and his corrupt DOJ/FBI.

I cannot even describe the level of hatred I hold for Sessions. He’s not only allowed his President to be unprotected he’s overseeing the destruction of people’s lives and failing to do his job therefore thwarting the will of “we the people!” Anyone in any possible way believing otherwise is totally delusional!

I’d like to think that Sessions wasn’t aware of the subpoena and this wakes him up

Sleepy's been hitting the snooze button for over a year. Literally dozens of incidents and developments should have woken him by now, but he seemingly snoozes on.

At some point you have to realize he's not really sleeping, but simply refusing to show up for work.

Yeah, I put almost zero credibility into the Sessions is playing rope-a-dope, and any minute now he'll drop the hammer on the deep state. Would so love to be wrong, but one can only judge his work by his actions. Or in this case, inaction

“That might very well be true, but not because of anything Jeff Sessions did. If it blows, it blows in spite Sessions and his corrupt DOJ/FBI.”

It’ll be more clear when it’s understood how the trap was laid and the investigators with their Deep State backers saw it shut on them from hunter to the hunted.

All this illicit spying will become death warmed over for these traitors/seditionists.

Sessions inaction is due to him BEING BLACKMAILED OR THREATENED BY THE DEEP STATE.

THIS ALONE MUST BE INVESTIGATED!!!

No, he can't. That is a widely held myth. The president can make a recess appointment if Congress is not in session, but Congress is purposely not recessing to prevent Trump from firing Sessions and then doing a recess appointment, which is only good until the next Congress is sworn in, so at this point it is not worth it.

A person approved by the Senate is not worthy of any other position as evidenced by Pompeo being the head of the CIA and requiring hearings and a vote to be named SofS. Positions are not interchangeable.

Okay, you got me started! I raised 4 sons... and a husband also. Not a one of my sons will compromise for the wrong side of anything. You think that hasn’t cost them at times? Yes!

One son lost his music career in NY because he would not sell his soul to the same bonjovi who started bonjovi. They want blood... they pay well, but you have to sell your dignity and your soul.. they want to own you.

Another son graduated top in college, went on to law school and graduated 2nd in that class that year. He’s been a successful lawyer for many years... has a brain that records, so everything has been easy. he’s in copyrights and patents for pharmaceuticals, world wide. He was up for a promotion in a department, which went to a woman and now he has to train that woman, for she knows nothing about copyrights and patents. He said if he came in to work dressed as a woman and said he was now a woman, he’d be top person at that company (Merc). Right now it’s a woman’s world in the job market and the management has lost their minds! everything is upside down.

Men used to be the main ‘bread winner’ and took care of his family. not so any more. I remember when we bought our first house, it was in a good area... and when selling a house, you could choose who you would sell to and who not. then they passed the law we could not discriminate, and the neighborhoods changed. People began moving out/south/north wherever it was safe again. Then people got wise and raised the price of a house so only certain ones could buy that house. Prices for houses went from $12000 to $120000 in no time. So women had to go to work to help pay the mortgage. Kids came home to empty houses.. no mom or dad there until they got home from the job.. BUT there was more money to buy the kids things.

It went up and up from there.. more cars in the driveway... a vacation home... etc... the standard of living went up and everyone who was anyone, had to keep up.... that ole’ success bug was reigning. One question you are asked is “what do you do for a living”? and then they began asking the woman “where do you work”? or “what do you do”?.. like it was expected she had a job also.
Success... to be important... to have enough money... to have the nicest home.. to drive the nicest car... to have all the things the kids need/want . ‘
We used to buy our first car... now days the parents buy it for the kids.. and many times it’s a new car. The dad is so proud when he can provide all those things that the kid wants... “look at what I can do... look at what I can afford”.
In politics, it’s about the same, but the level is astounding and it effects us greatly. Today it’s the swamp dwellers who think they are owed the places they have and the money they take from anyone who will pay them for their vote... it’s sickening.

Another son has a college degree in tech engineering, worked for Verizon and they did a ‘releasing’ every 6 months for a few years, hiring in young techs out of college. He’s having to reinvent himself and his resume.

Another son can make an old house into a mansion and has bought and sold houses on the market. Very talented in making a silk purse out of a sows ear. Try buying a house from HUD or such, and see how much cooperation you get from the government.
My husband was a realtor and at one time he had 6 houses worth about 6 million to him if he sold them. They were all going into foreclosure and this woman wanted to get them sold before the gov took them over. My husband had bids/offers on every one of the 6 and the HUd/gov would not sell any one of them.. about 6 months later gov sold them for less than what we had offered. We weren’t the right person with the right name to influence ole’ sam to sell. It depends on who you are and what you own or who you know... and so MEN do strive to have those things in their pocket to have when needed.

Every man I have ever known (and I go back several years), it was their goal to be someone for their family or for themselves. Some didn’t matter how they got there... just to achieve.. just to be successful.. that was the one thing that opened their door for them. Look at men chasing after Pres Trump when he walks from place to place.. look at the ones who want to be seen in a picture with him... or to be on TV.. to stand behind the speaker of the house to be seen... to achieve success is the goal of all/most men.. For if they are a success, they are respected.. looked up at.... admired, envied... and that is what the men want.. if they don’t have success, what do they have when they are 60 yrs old. To be able to go and buy that retirement house in FL or somewhere.. and know they have the money to give their family things that money can buy... it’s what men want to achieve.

Pride.... men have pride in who they are or think they are. AS of late, everything is topsy turvy and men don’t know who or what they are and women don’t either.. both are out of the natural place and women are out to get what they can get from all those rich men who have spent their years making enough to live on comfortably... until a woman gets a whiff and wants it.

Now, let me add a disclaimer... I KNOW all men are not like the above.... but close!! and women .. some are sweethearts and some are _______. Don’t trust any of them.
