Did Trump just make a ‘hugely damning admission’ in the Stormy Daniels case?

President Trump made a rare public comment about the Michael Cohen-Stormy Daniels case Thursday morning, playing down the lawyer's work for him and insisting that he didn't know about Cohen's business activities.

But Trump also said something that would seem ... less than ideal. While describing Cohen's allegedly limited work for him — a “tiny fraction” of his legal work, Trump assured — Trump confirmed to “Fox and Friends” that Cohen “represented” him in the Daniels case.

Women extort businesses and men for millions of dollars every year. It doesn’t mean what they say is the truth. It’s usually just cheaper to pay them off.

The left is going nuts, but I say no. He said he represented him. He did make a deal with Stormy Daniels to not disclose. Trump said he didn’t know about it - hence the no campaign funds comment. Unless Trump is changing his story and saying he did know, which we have nothing concrete to say he is, then this is a nothing burger. Trump is more off the cuff and not as precise in how he talks, so the left is construing it to mean that Trump knew about the deal when Trump could just mean that Cohen made a deal to protect him. Too bad that wasn’t clarified. Sarah Sanders will be asked I’m sure.

Yeah, that’s my interpretation. Trump never admitted to knowing about the deal when it was made. The statement he made was ambiguous enough to give the media fodder, though.

Is the Washington post stupidly insinuating that Stormy went to Cohen not knowing that he was Trumps lawyer?

Words MEAN things. Cohen represented Trump in the negotiations - it doesn’t mean that Trump was involved! It’s the very definition of represented!

Trump doesn’t have to know about the deal. Probably knew that Stormy was threatening a lawsuit.

Big deal.

So let’s say Trump did know. That means Daniels has broken the NDA and needs to be sued through the floor.

The private lives of private citizens are exceedingly important to the usual suspects - leave no stone unturned! The sleeziest characters have set themselves up as the morality police. Not too bright.

These idiots have thereby decreed that they’ll be buried under a pile of their own skeletons. Kind of like a self-inflicted death by stoning.

Evil overplays its hand.

Maybe Trump can get his money back, it seems that the deal was not honored, and count me very surprised considering it was a porn star and ho that reneged on the deal.

It’s only extortion when you do it to David Letterman for his unequal sexual relationships WITH subordinate women at work. It’s not if you’re a male republican in a consensual sexual relationship.

You’d think DC swampthings and their lawyers wouldn’t be eager to have these situations come to light. If I remember back a few months, the payments we little folk had issue with are those that involved government money. We’ve lost all civility with all of this stuff exposing people’s personal lives for situtions that go far beyond the Satute of Limitations. JMHO

WHY is bandwidth still being devoted to any mention of Stormy Daniels? I could care less whether Trump had relations with her in a one-nighter or not. It was before his presidency. I only care about ONE thing-—that he be allowed to serve his nation as contracted without such asinine interference like this. The dummocraps should be sued for theft of services in keeping Trump’s time and attention from the tasks for which he was elected, and I am darn tired of this. Particularly, since when do petty regional judges’ rulings make policy for the entire nation? A lot of Trump’s initiatives, which would be good for the country, are being blocked by activist judges far overreaching their judicial authority. They should be yanked out of their positions ASAP for the good of the country.

She alleges the affair took place in 2006, so it’s actually 12 years ago. The agreement she made with Cohen was in 2016.
