When you don’t know what else to do, sue.
To critics in both major national parties, the Democratic National Committee seemed to be following that dubious legal advice by filing a lawsuit last week that alleges collusion between Russia and Donald Trump’s presidential campaign.
Some from both parties ridiculed the suit as a distraction from special counsel Robert Mueller’s investigation and the cash-strapped DNC’s rebuilding efforts as midterm elections approach.
Trump has a long record of threatening more court fights than he actually wages.
You might recall his similar promises to sue the publisher of Michael Wolff’s “Fire and Fury” or CBS News for a Stormy Daniels interview or the many women who have accused him of sexual misconduct. None of those has yet materialized. Countless journalists are waiting for the discovery process that any of those actions might open up.
Also important, since Trump’s surprising election win shook things up in 2016, Democrats have been scoring significant victories in special elections. That’s given Perez a little more running room to try such offbeat stunts as the lawsuit against Team Trump.
But to win the midterms or prepare for the 2020 presidential campaign, Democrats need to offer answers for issues like good jobs, health care and school funding, just for starters. Lawsuits are not enough.

The reporting on Nixon was GLOWING — *after* Watergate — compared to the crap that gets heaped on to President Trump.
And it isn’t even Trump himself. It continues to be a simple matter of the left being unable to handle the fact they lost an election that was PROMISED to them.
Had this been Cruz, Romney or even obozo himself running as a (R) [just as a s’pose] the msm would heap their attacks upon the winner as strongly and unfairly.

This is a prime case where a jury on DC could decide based on social justice.

Remember when you see how weirdness zone left the Chicago Tribune openly is and the stuff they print...that The Chicago Tribune also founded Pew Research to produce manufactured polls, and later renamed it and spun it off as a separate entity.
That is why Pew is what it is.
If my theory is proven correct, he will be right. That is, that the DNC uses this suit as a tool to raise millions of dollars “for the legal fund” although money is fungible and can be used for anything they damn please - and then drop the lawsuit before the Republicans have a chance to do any discovery.
In other words, a scam to raise money. And considering the DNC is way behind the R’s and have nothing else to sell, it might not be so nutty.
How long do we have to put up with this crap until we have had enough? Are we going to let the left destroy our President and all of the good he is doing and let the coup by the left go unanswered? It is all disgusting day in and day out. It never stops and it has permanently polluted the minds of millions of Americans.
I don’t think they can dismiss the lawsuit if a countersuit is filed first.
But as for the reason, I disagree about the money thing.
Most fundraising is from big donors, not the $50 crowd.
I read that the democRAT donors were keeping their checkbooks closed until they are assured that the DNC will keep going after Trump. They want him unseated. Impeached. That's where they're willing to put their money. To get rid of Trump.
IOW, the big money liberals are the driving force behind the lawsuit. Since the Mueller fishing trip is only catching minnows and the congressional hearings backfired in their faces, the democRATS only have the lawsuit to keep going after Trump for colluding with the Russians story. Everyone else has given up on it.
This lawsuit appeases the donors to open their wallets. The DNC is broke.
Someone should get a pool going to guess how long this lawsuit stays alive before the requests from the defendants for discovery forces Perez to withdraw it.
Good publicity stunt for the donors and their base but no adult believes this lawsuit is viable.
