Sunday on CBSs Face the Nation, former New York Mayor Michael Bloomberg said President Donald Trump was a real estate developer, and therefore not really a business person.
BRENNAN: At the DNC in 2016, you called Donald Trump a risky, reckless and radical choice and the country you said couldnt afford to make that mistake.
BLOOMBERG: Did I say that?
BRENNAN: It was a memorable quote. Has he done anything to make you reconsider that? Do you think hes doing a good job?
BLOOMBERG: I think he, its, I would give him an incomplete grade. Some of the things that hes done, I dont agree with the style of changing your mind every day and leaving your staffs out there to make embarrassing things that you dont back them up. And the turnover in the administration is really dangerous and worrisome and not fair to people. But you know to criticize him doesnt advance anything.

From the man who allowed the homeless and the squidgy men back into the city, banned smoking in private venues (unless it was a space for governmental power brokers), and let Occupy Wall Street destroy several businesses downtown.
This cracks me up.
It reminds me of some of the arguments on the internet regarding my car - a six speed manual 2013 Scion FR-S.
People argue that since it only has 200 horsepower it’s not a “sports car.” I wonder what they would call a Triumph TR3 or 6, or an MGB, or an Austin Healey 3000.
What they mean to say is that it is not a MUSCLE car. And it isn’t.
But this is the same sort of thing. Does Trump conduct business? Does he own businesses? Does he run any of those businesses at any level? Have any of them made money?
Yes?
Then he is a businessman, by definition.

Don’t forget the idiotic soda tax (or was it an outright ban on evil large cups of soda? I don’t remember).
What a clueless douchebag this guy is. I really wish he and his ilk would go away and form a liberal utopia somewhere else - like Atlantis.
Bloomberg is a nanny state, gun grabber environmentalist who used to be a business person.
Says a parasite who money comes from fleecing “investment fees” from investors
Evil large bottles of soda - outlawed!
I loathed this guy from the very beginning.
Investors hate all that data and news. Its just confusing.
Made billions from a million.
Just ignore that insignificant fact.
LOL. A real estate developer isn’t a real business person? Tell that to the hundreds of people making $1 million + at Goldman Sachs, Ochs Ziff and Angelo Gordon by developing billion dollar real estate projects in Manhattan. Tell it to the people who have turned Las Vegas into a multi-billion dollar industry.
Plutos not a planet anymore, either.
Pluto is still there and still orbits the sun,
Investment houses need to do their own work not farm it out to 3rd party. It was just another excuse for churn and charging additional fees
No, right now he is a President.
Hmmmmm? Risk is an important aspect. Without it nothing moves. Sometimes we are handed things that require quick judgment, and risk comes into play, especially in politics. Its not always a case of money.
Just put the money into dartboards.
Bloomberg is a blooming idiot.

No surprise our resident knee jerk Never Trumper is finding an excuse to stand up for a Neo Marxist clown like Bloomie.
POTUS Donald Trump has the title and position that bitter Mayor Bloomberg wanted more than any other.

BRENNAN: How do you assess EPA Administrator Scott Pruitt?
BLOOMBERG: His policies are not good for the world. To debunk science and walk away from it is just ridiculous. Even if you don’t believe it, if there’s a possibility that it’s right you have to take prophylactic actions to prevent a disaster. And what I do know is that a lot of kids go to the hospital with asthma attacks because we have a lot of junk we put in the air. A lot of people come down with stomach cancers because there’s a lot of stuff that goes into the water. A lot of people’s houses are being destroyed and they’re getting killed in hurricanes and things like that—
BRENNAN: It sounds like you think he’s not doing the job that he should be doing.
BLOOMBERG: I don’t think there’s any question about that. He was hired. His job is to protect the environment and he has walked away a hundred percent from that saying, “The environment doesn’t need protection. I’m going to try to protect jobs.” That’s not his job.
BRENNAN: Should he be fired?
BLOOMBERG: That’s up to the president to decide. If he could get Scott Pruitt to change his policies, then he can keep him. But it’s— the issue is that what he’s doing is very damaging to your health and your children’s health and mine.

22 Apr: CNN: Why 2020 may be Michael Bloomberg’s best shot at the presidency
By Arick Wierson
And I would know — I worked for Bloomberg on his first campaign for mayor in 2001 and later served as a senior media adviser to him during his first two terms in office...
And there’s the emergence of Generation Z as an independently minded political force, which will add several million more young people to the voter registry by 2020. They could play a role in opening up a centrist lane in the middle of the political divide.
Generation Z experts David and Jonah Stillman have conducted extensive polling that indicates that such voters will be much less beholden to the traditional political construct of Republicans vs. Democrats...
The fact that Bloomberg has been an early and outspoken critic of America’s gun policies will only further enhance his station with these young political activists...
On Sunday, Bloomberg appeared on CBS’ “Face the Nation” to talk about the environment and again face questions about whether he will run for president...
