I don’t know about the street people......seems to me a lot of those folks like it on the street..that gal’s certainly carrying the weight of a well fed street person with those legs and thunder thighs. I would not see her as a priority...

Make the comparison about WATER.....

Hollywood has green lawns and plenty of water....
Central Valley has brown fields and NO career path in the agri-business economic sector.

Thanks to Jerry Brown, Feinstein, Pelosi, and Boxer.....
.... Kamela Harris supports this crap.

True, but then who knows how long she’s been homeless.

However the State of California has at the very least a responsibility to it’s citizens to not let a portion of their state become a skid row. This leads to disease, crime, abuses of all kinds and lowers neighborhood home values.

It’s not all about the ones on the street.

Trump should make an issue of this — plenty of money for Hollywood but stingy with investments to get water.

Why do we not have desalination plants? They have them all over the Middle East, but here in the US, we can't manage that in California? I'm sure there's a reason, and it can probably be traced right back to liberals.

It’s not federal. I don’t see trump getting involved in a state issue.

I heard that was the case.....lots of perks given them for filming up there too I understand.

Also, now that China's at the helm of some of the studios they're feature a couple or so American actors but making Chinese type films with all the supporting actors and crowds all Asians. They fly the main actors to Taiwan or one of the other Asian nations to film. It's sure a changing world today!.....and most certainly not the USA I've known! and I'm not that old!

I am not that old either (Gen X). Although I do look at 70 year olds and think.....dang you guys had it made....they had a very easy life and now living a great life in retirement. It’s what happens when Baby Boomers are the largest block of people and they demanded everything handed to them and weirdly, they got it. Huge pensions, jobs stability, ability to work a job and support a family, cheap college costs, etc. There will never be another generation that had it as easy as the baby boomers ever again.

As far as China become a Hollywood of the far East. Good grief that would be horrible. I guess I will watch even less movies and tv.

According to the MPAA the top states
for movie production revenue in
2016 (couldn’t find anything more
recent) were:
Georgia
Hawaii
Illinois
New York
Massachusetts
New Mexico
Ohio
Pennsylvania
California

Notice California is at the bottom
of the list. You are correct in the
fact that tax breaks play a big role
in production costs.

Actually Trump built his business on tax breaks like this. Pot and kettle.

” a bill to extend ........ sailed through a state Assembly committee without opposition.”.......

How much do you think those who voted “without opposition” received under the table at the expense of the tax payers who actually carry that tax burden? Follow another money trail.
