Is Jordan about to fall apart?
Arutz Sheva ^ | 4-14-18 | Dr. Mordechai Kedar

Is Jordan the next destination for the "Arab Spring?" Demonstrations against the king have reached new levels.

Towards the end of 2010, when the "Arab Spring" erupted destabilizing goverrnments and social order in most of the Middle Eastern countries, questions began to be raised about the Hashemite Kingdom of Jordan and whether the tidal waves sweeping across the Arab world would reach its borders. So far, King Abdullah II has succeeded in stopping the destructive advance at the country's borders, although over the past seven years, several manifestations of support for ISIS were observed, mainly in Maan, in Sourthern Jordan, and in the Syrian-populated refugee camps up north.

The kingdom's intelligence directorate, the Mukhabarat, is the regime's main arm for maintaining control, but there are significant outside forces – the USA, Europe, Israel – who never cease to guard the kingdom from those who have undermined the foundations of law and order upon which the modern world bases its existence.

I'm sure the current King remembers, along with the Black September attempt to overthrow his dad, the murder of Grandpa Abdullah on the Temple Mount by a Mufti associate. Palestinians weren't invented yet in 1951. "Combining" with Jordan has always been an objective of the PLO. Point 5 of the Phased Plan of 1973, official PLO policy, Struggle along with the Jordanian national forces to establish a Jordanian-Palestinian national front whose aim will be to set up in Jordan a democratic national authority in close contact with the Palestinian entity that is established through the struggle. No room for a King there.

The Jews will find God’s protection in Petra during the Tribulation.

If “Arab Spring” arrives in Jordan, the armed forces need to start shooting from instant one, and not stop until every participant is dead. If they wait, they’ll lose.
We don’t need another failed ME state.

Maybe they’ll finally give the Palestinians their land.

Lessee.
You can end up like Mubarak, or, worse, Daffy.
Or you can ignore the screaming idiots or kill the bastards.
For me, that would be an easy choice.
Just make sure to have good stockpiles of ammo, POL, and food, before starting.

Or the former military general of Egypt who went on to become its President.

Could this be a result of undocumented immigration?

President Trump should get involved to the extent of clearly stating (Tweeting?) that the Jordanian opposition will receive no support of any kind from the United States. Let’s stabilize the region instead of toppling comparatively harmless governments.

“Maybe they’ll finally give the Palestinians their land.”

The Jordanians tried that a while back. The Palis were so grateful they tried to murder the King. In a rare fit of common sense the Jordanians shot a bunch of them and shoved the rest into the wastelands, where they belong.

Did not the Jordanians make an agreement with Israel in regards to getting military help?

He became president only after Mubarak was murdered.
And Egypt is even more of a mess than it was when Mubarak was alive.

Mubarak is still alive. He took over after Sadat was assassinated in 1981 but was forced to resign in 2011.

My cousin’s son just graduated from Georgetown with the son of Jordan’s current king.

My cousin told me there was a massive security presence for all the graduation events.
