It’s Time For The United States To Divorce Before Things Get Dangerous

Divorce is hard, but it’s easier than cutting the brake lines on your wife’s car. It is long past time for an amicable divorce of the United States of America. There is simply no common ground with the Left anymore. We are now the couple screaming at each other all night, every night as the kids hide in their room.

We cannot come together, but we do not have to live like this. The history of the world is nations breaking up and redrawing their borders. If we want to avoid this political divide turning into a deadly one, we should do likewise.

I’ve said for several years now that I feel like I’m living in “Dr. Zhivago”, but without the love triangle.

The signs are all around us.

And the nation will not survive this intact. As Jesus said, a house divided against itself can not stand.

It’s not a matter of “if”. It’s a matter of “when”. And it won’t be long.

The main problem with the proposed map is that it assumes that we must maintain the geographical integrity of the existing states. The states are as internally divided as the nation.

Redrawing boundaries can be done with a peace conference or with war.

A look at the map suggests many problems—since Leftyland would probably have to split into two coastal countries a la Pakistan—and Chicagoland would be its own island like a socialist Hong Kong.

What a mess....

The divide and grounds for divorce is not regional, but urban and rural.

The solution would be for the People of the United States to divorce themselves from the largest 50 cities in the country as they are mostly socialist and vote Democrat.

Leave the rest of the nation in place minus those big cities and of course the college towns.

On further thought one interim step would be to move part of .gov into a new seat of federal government in the heartland (Kansas, Oklahoma, somewhere like that)—that could start a peaceful approach—if anyone were actually interested in one.

The problem is we all live with neighbors who are Lefty.

I don’t care if you live in Utah, Idaho, Nebraska, Texas, or Alabama. There is a Lefty in your neighborhood. Multiple ones probably. They are a disease. And it is slowly killing us all.

His map just buttresses his pathetic article because it is nothing more than some goofy assumption he has that everything south of some line is filled with “good” and everything north of it is “evil”.

While we northern states are the ones that gave Trump the win, Alabama sent a Democrat to DC, and many of those states are full of RINO senators.

I have been saying exactly this for years now. We have two tribes in this country and we are simply incompatible. It is much better that we just go our separate ways peacefully.

The Northeast, Left Coast, Miami, Chicago, Occupied Northern Virginia and other parts of the upper Midwest to one side - the non Left Coast West, most of the Midwest, Alaska and Dixie to the other side. Everybody will be much happier. Some states like New York, California, Oregon, Washington, Illinois and Pennsylvania will need to be divided in addition to giving off those two parts from Florida and Virginia.

Divorce is regrettable but it’s better than a bad marriage that makes everybody miserable.

Under the Holy Roman Empire, there were quite a few “Free Cities” in the general region of what we now consider Germany.

I like the idea of Philadelpha, Boston, San Francisco, etc. being free and independent cities, able to make up their own laws, and collecting their own taxes. The regions around those bastions of Progressivism can simply adhere to the Constitution.

But perhaps the Left would find this solution unworkable. Because they need us more than we need them.

The left will not allow such a peaceable split. Who will drive the trucks, harvest the lumber, cultivate the food and staff the factories to keep their part of the country operating?

They will only be able to generate a limited amount of income from entertainment, media, law and academia. Yes, they will be able to import illegal aliens to their heart's content to do this type of work. And, yes, they will be more pliable and obedient than flyover America. For a while. But what then?
