Syria 'chemical attack': Trump pledges 'forceful' US response

US President Donald Trump has promised a "forceful" response to the alleged chemical attack in Syria, as Western leaders consider what action to take.

"We have a lot of options militarily," he told reporters. He added that a response would be decided "shortly".

Mr Trump said the US was getting some "good clarity" on who was responsible for the incident in Douma on Saturday.

Medical sources say dozens were killed in the alleged attack but exact numbers are impossible to verify.

Mr Trump also discussed the incident with French President Emmanuel Macron late on Monday, and both leaders expressed a desire for a "firm response", the Elysee Palace said.

The AFP news agency quoted French government spokesman Benjamin Griveaux as saying on Tuesday that "if a red line had been crossed, there will be a response", adding that intelligence shared by the two leaders "in theory confirms the use of chemical weapons".

Anyone know how the Japanese terrorists got live Satin gas on the subway? Why would Assad use WMDs on his own people when it would bring in foreign intervention and he knows it.

“They want him embroiled in a conflict along with the rest of the sh## they are throwing at him.”

Exactly. Trump needs to focus on the treason swirling around him and clean the mess up ASAP. F the middle east.

All you have to do is ask the simple question: “Why would Assad launch a chemical weapons attack days after President Trump announced publicly that he was considering winding down U.S. involvement in Syria”?

This bit of propaganda smells mightily of the “Deep State’s” continuing efforts to destroy Trump, and of the conspiring politicians enabling them.

I agree. Likely the CIA backed terrorists-such as Daesh Al Islam. We need to get out of Syria. Assad isn’t stupid and neither is Putin. After DJT said we’d be getting out, it would be sheer stupidity to use chemical weapons to drag USA back in.

Red Crescent reported not one sign of anyone having suffered a chemical attack.

Did you ever see that video of the Pali funeral where the "dead' guy falls and then gets up and stands?

It was going here back in the day. I remember laughing soooo hard.

Yeah, BTW, Spanish were bad for Cuba, but, the Maine blew up because a coal fire set off its explosives.

Wow, thanks, that is strong evidence of how they’ll lie.

Taqiyaya - the Quranic rule to lie to infidels.

And our own citizens will lie to us and POTUS.

Time to start charging treason. Tagline.

Lay the ID on the victim’s chest and take a photo of the dead body. Then, just count the bodies.

Russian military are in control of the "crime" scene reporting no dead bodies found...no traces of chemical weapons either. UN investigators enroute...

Putin needs the war rhetoric to distract his population from their stagnating economy and other problems. It is a way to incite a response from us and dredge up anti-Western fervor among his populace.

He knows we won’t do anything too crazy for fear of nuclear war. But he still needs the attacks to keep coming. Makes Russia the “besieged fortress” feel important.

I’m quite familiar with CL2 and its effects and yes the one shot of that shirtless male getting med attention with purple skin is pretty legit to me.

Trump needs to take this Swamp farce by the horns. Assemble the Big Stick, demand the Islamists withdraw from that area then insert an investigative team.

Any of you Assad and Putin haters have any problem with these Islamists getting neutralized I would like to hear your reasoning. Not questioning your patriotism or your motives, no siree.

It’s coming out that maybe this “poisonous gas” was too sophisticated for some Jihadi to have.

http://www.kurdistan24.net/en/news/997103a4-94c9-4a40-b4ed-3c542d4eab88

Lots of ifs, ands and buts. If real dangerous gas is used as this appears to be, it’s almost a forgone conclusion that Assad will be punished.

ISIS Used Chemical Arms at Least 52 Times in Syria and Iraq ...
Nov 21, 2016 · More than one-third of the chemical attacks, which include chlorine and sulfur mustard agents, have come in and around Mosul, the group’s stronghold in Iraq.
https://www.nytimes.com/2016/11/21/world/middleeast/i

Before we risk nuclear war with Russia, it would be really nice to have PROOF that Isis/Deep State allies haven’t set up another false flag and blamed it on Assad.
