That man John Bolton 2.0 and Donald will deliver! (vanity)

Posted on 03/23/2018 9:19:22 PM PDT by dennisw

Trump caved because the two sex scandal gals made this traitorous Paul Ryan-Schumer-Pelosi Democrat budget too hard to surmount. We are down temporarily.

I planted some sunflowers from Home Depot that were having some trouble. I saw today the top roots were exposed so I piled on some dirt and watered lightly. I just checked them out ten minutes ago in the dark with a flashlight. And other things more edible that I have growing.

Trump is having dirt piled on him every day. In addition to the usual I am talking Playboy porn star dirt. He had his fun and now he has to pay the price. Obviously the Dems are trying to split DJT from Melania. This will make him stronger. Can you imagine how strong and resilient DJT has been! Have good faith. This is Easter and Passover, the season of rebirth Resurrection and renewal. We will be seeing John Bolton 2.0 who will not be an interventionist. I belive Bolton has conveyed this to Trump. Trump is cleaning house and will appoint many good people because he knows that executive power and executive actions will be much the way he has to go.

I predict that John Bolton will become a major Trump ally and confidant because he has been aching and lobbying to get back into major government service with Trump for a long time.

You should get that Trump has been going through a mini-crucifixion ever since he got elected. I hope DJT has been consulting his Christian pastors for perspective and faith. Haven't we all been suffering a mini-crucifixion small scale compared to Donald Trump? This too shall pass is what an elderly relative with Lupus used to say to me.

I speak about Jesus second hand because I am Jewish.

Thanks Jim Robinson

They accept that machine guns aren’t covered by the 2A.

Then they are not 2A supporters are they? The second amendment did not grant us Gun rights, the 2A affirmed our God given right to arm and defend ourselves, the 2A merely told the government they could not interfere with that God given right, but of course they do anyway.

the other two branches of Government would have overridden his veto.

Sure they would have and the bill would have became law without his signature and he could have avoided the shite storm this has created. He could have kept his respect and got the spending too.

Fair enough. So are Stinger missiles OK? Chemical weapons? Nuclear weapons? Where do we draw the line?

So you didn’t use your right to vote for your Senator or Representative?

Did you call or write either of them regarding this bill?

Did you check to see how they voted on this bill?

I currently live in Oregon, I have no need to check on how they voted. I would like to be able to check and see how I voted but I don't even have a way to find out if I voted because we have 100% mail in voting.

We don't that is why the Founders did the 2A. Of course if you decide to own those there are responsibilities and consequences.

Deciding what is reasonable invites to quality of life issues with can determine if you should live at all. Oregon is trying again to make it legal to decide when patients can be starved to death.

BS. He should’ve vetoed anyway and made them override it. That’d have kept him clean of this disaster and we would have on record which congress animals needed to be voted or primaried out.

You are seriously wrong about that. In fact the number of things wrong with that statement are quite numerous.

Anyway. I think the 2A moderates that think my civil rights are up for negotiation need to tread carefully. You give me “reasonable gun restrictions” and I’ll see to it that you are baking the cake.

I’m not playing around this one. We hang together or we hang separately. If separately is the game some want to play, we will play it.

“Fair enough. So are Stinger missiles OK? Chemical weapons? Nuclear weapons? Where do we draw the line?”

Is this a serious question? Do you want a serious answer?

I think the 2A covers all small arms that would be operated by a man on foot. The only regulations I’m willing to accept are on arms that are hazmat...i.e., they are dangerous to others by their mere presence and proper handling requires 1) affirmative, positive action on the part of the owner and 2) requires extensive technical knowledge not commonly held by those with a high school education or requires equipment and tools not commonly available in the average household.

WMD would be prohibited to individuals. Such devices are more than just arms. They are tools of foreign policy, diplomacy, and expressions of sovereign authority. Those powers are delegated to the federal government by the constitution.

I got the impression from Bolton that he realizes he’s not going to be so hawky this time around.

You get it! This is why I called this Michael Bolton 2.0. No more crazy useless interventions like Iraq with all the thousands maimed and killed guys and trillions flushed down the toilet. With the result that Iraq is in the Iranian Shiite orbit. If I learned from this then Mr Bolton also did. We need to do smarter and smoother the way the Chinese and Russians do with lots less money and no Chinese killed. Some Russians though but minimal.

So called "nation building" in a Muslim nation is a fools errand. Just look at all the lives and money we wasted in Afghanistan and Iraq. Half the reason is the Muslims are too clannish and inbred to establish viable nations.

And what good would that have done except put GOP Senators in the target zone?

He needs to keep the House and Senate so he allowed the GOP to have some safe votes against the Bill.

And other GOP Senators would have been vulnerable for voting the Bill.

>>>He didn't run on cutting the budget, he might have said outrageous things on how he could cut it, but I've never seen any indication he was gonna take spending serious.

Just now saw this - and this is a lie. Trump said he would eliminate the debt in 8 years - by using $2 trillion a year from the $4 trillion budget to pay off debt. That means reducing spending. Duh.

PreCovid he was almost running a 1 Tril deficit budget. He has no intention of cutting the budget. At least the R’s acted like spending mattered under Obama. My statements remain accurate. Trump has extended the Obama spending without Covid.

Congress has far more control over spending than the President.

Ryan was useless. And they did ANOTHER continuing resolution under him. They have not improved- although Trump did swear he would not sign another one.

This is one of the biggest failures- but the expanding economy should have been bringing in record tax revenue.

The alternative- Biden/Democrats - would be far far far worse.
