The universe doesn’t care, but its Creator does care and is saddened that Hawking rejected the salvation offered to him.

A man said to the universe: “Sir, I exist!”
“However,” replied the universe,. “The fact has not created in me.
A sense of obligation.”
-Stephen Crane 1899.

It's still Lou Gehrig's disease.

There are some things I didn’t agree with Hawkings on, but there’s no denying he was a remarkable man.

Scientists have stated that the Universe is so complex and unique/precise that creating could not have been an accident.

God does and it’s his creation

Infinite as it is

And boy is it infinite

Take a straw

In a rural area in dead winter on a clear no moon night look at stairs through it

Inside that straw if you could see it like your own Hubble telescope are millions of galaxies like our own Galaxy

Out there somewhere

Carl Sagan hat tip

Does the Universe Care About Stephen Hawking?

I can't judge the rest of the world, but for the United States, I don't care and probably 99.8% of educated and over 100 IQ citizens don't care whatsoever.

Hawkings claim to fame is a never-ending series of unproven and unproveable theories that perhaps, generously, 0.01% of the world's population even cares to understand.

Just ask any intelligent, educated (STEM) person you know how Hawkings' work made his life better in any way, with a cogent non-psychobabble explanation of 'how.'

Good luck!

“He is largely regarded as one of the most important physicists in history.”

No, Hawking is 999 of the top 1000 top physicists in history. I’ve read three of his books, found them helpful and still admire a bunch of other physicists, such as Thomas Campanella, Werner Heisenberg and Leon Lederman. Hawking was strong on story telling but weak on defending current research.

Hawking was an atheist communist.

And he was a marxist activist.

He didn't change the universe but he hurt the cause of freedom and capitalism worldwide.

He was an evil idiot. Only someone with the mind of child would believe that government running everything (socialism) would work.

"In Hawking’s 2010 book, The Grand Design, Hawking said a creator is “not necessary” in the narrative of how the world was created."

I pray he is now happily surprised. It seems so counterintuitive, counter-thought, and rigidly closed minded to conclude that there is no meaning or reason for our existence or the existence of anything. As an aside, some years ago I was in the room with my father when he breathed his last breath (just he and I), and I could see and feel the relief, happiness, and release in him, and I literally felt his soul leave the room. I have many years of education in science, practice medicine and do research, and I know like I know I have hands and eyes that what I felt was real. There is so very much we have no clue about.

Stephen Hawking was a high priest of Scientism, which is fake science squared.

He spent his career dreaming up fantasies to explain existence and our universe, and using convoluted, tortured mathematics to justify his delusions.

In other words, he was a run-of-the-mill, modern cosmologist.
