Seems to me that 7,000 appointees just in Obama years is quite a high percentage, if they were following government employees rules and coming up through the ranks. I don’t really know what to believe these days though, so thanks for the information.

The actual core of the Deep State is fewer than a hundred people. While Hillary Clinton was SOS, there was no IG at DOS for 4 years. How was this possible? Sally Yates blocked the DOJ IG from having oversight over the counter intelligence division. Those are decisions that are made by cabinet level politicians. This kind of stuff is overlooked or ignored by congressional oversight committees.

Out of the 8,156 members who make up this Deep State of ensconced bureaucrats, over 7,000 were appointed by Obama. That's actually encouraging. Because that means that after 8 years, Trump should have at least that many appointed himself. Probably more because Trump doesn't take a lot of time off.

Really? Who put them there and by what authority?

It doesn’t matter. A perfect example is the FBI still wont turnover documents to congress. They are rogue and that is just one example.

That's one example of the state, operating in broad daylight, in clear violation of the constitution. Nothing "deep" about that. That's what the state does when no one holds it accountable.

How is this aspect of the executive branch operating as a "rogue" bureaucracy an example of a "deep state"? By contrast, can you name one aspect of the federal government that is acting "above board" and within it's constitutional limits as an example of the "good state" as opposed to the "deep state"? I can't seem to lay my finger on one aspect of the federal government that is struggling against this so-called, ambiguous and nefarious "deep state".

Okay, please cut to the chase and tell us how they recommend Trump get rid of them.
To: Rusty0604
I think they are still under civil service rules so almost as good as being in a union. I know when Carter set up the SES program they supposed to be under far less civil service protections. I am sure in the past 40 years those “protections” have crept back in.

So are they false in their claim that they show how they can be removed?
To: CincyRichieRich
Toward the end of 2015 and into 2016 Valerie Jarrett had many non-career appointees move to career appointees because it is hard to get rid of career appointees. It isn’t as hard a getting rid of a civil service employee but it isn’t easy.
To: CincyRichieRich
Read and skimmed enough to comment.
“Trump can’t fire us”. no.. arrest them.
There is something desperately wrong if there is any law that says barack can set up a treasonous bunch to rule, and not be fired by the new President. FIRE THEM ALL!!
To: Reily
Protections!
Words used make this law?
I’m not a cusser.. but this makes one want to become one.
Cant stand to see all this.. dont say it cant be changed. Barack can do this.. then we can do whatever it takes

Awww.. how, disappointing. I though for sure they wanted to repeal Obama care, build a,wall, decrease spending and enact national reciprocity.
Maybe if we,keep voting for them they will do what they promised day one.
