Good Read on "What Exactly is the DEEP STATE?"
American Intelligence Media ^ | 1-3-2018 | American Intelligence Media

Most people know that a new president gets to name over 4,000 political appointees when they are elected. This political cronyism is partisan politics and fills our bloated government with unqualified employees.

Some think that these are the people that comprise the Deep State.

But the Deep State is much deeper than that.

There is a much more sinister system in place that controls Washington D. C.’s bureaucracies through an actual, organized shadow government called the Deep State.

It is the heart of the swamp.

And in this American Intelligence Media citizen intelligence report, we are going to show you exactly who they are and how we can remove them.

The Washington D. C. Deep State is a group of 8,156 appointed mangers in 75 federal agencies that control the executive bureaucracy and tell new political appointees what they can and cannot do. Yes, that’s right, the Deep State is an official government program, well-organized, comprehensive, and “in charge.”

Out of the 8,156 members who make up this Deep State of ensconced bureaucrats, over 7,000 were appointed by Obama.

This is a good read, not too long...7000 Obama appointees...wow, talk about non-essential employees. Imagine, these folks only have two goal: Sell out the US, and make themselves rich by doing it.

I can only hope there is a plan for each one of these to have them fired.

The hive, control, and central management of the DS is likely Barry’s Wash DC mansion with ValJar sitting behind a curtain pulling the levers. They apparently employ 30,000 minions and have millions of compliant drones to carry out their will. That has to be a factor in the calculus to truly describe the DS.

The “Deep State” is the convenient scapegoat for your representative to blame when he fails to do as he said to do, and who he promises to fight if re-elected.

Super astute point on your part; email that to Rush and put it on the president’s website!

I remember Limbaugh was promoting cross-over voting in 2008 to ensure that Hillary didn’t get the Democrat nomination. He was encouraging Republican voters to go and vote for Obama in the primaries so that McCain would not have to face Hillary in the general election. I believe that his reasoning was that Hillary was well entrenched in the political system and that Obama, being a relatively young, new-comer to the system, would not be nearly as effective at getting things done if he were to win the election.

“7000 Obama appointees...wow, talk about non-essential employees”.......

ONE simply worded “executive order” from Trump could clean out those 7000 appointees in one swoop. DO IT!!!! My bet is no one would miss them, we’d achieve a major cost savings and obviously have less “swamp creatures” to be rid of.

Summary execution, not mere firing.

The deep state has existed since the start of the federal era, when the civil service became a permanent work force as compared to the former system wherein electoed officials appointed whomever to service position ( patronage system) the GS/civil service system creates a condition wherein senior permananet employees create hegemonies and simply drag their feet or outright refuse to execute the policies of the duly elected.

In the Army, it is a known fact that the SES and GS levels around 12+ simply know that they will outlast the commander- when an SES tells his subordinates that” what the general means is” there it is.

Call it the swamp, deep state, staff resistance whatever, iit is the same thing.

Solution- get rid of senior GS positions- make them patronage positions- folks who depend on getting what the boss wants done for their longevity- in the military- a SES or senor GS- make them Colonel and Majors etc, who can be replaced by the general if they do not execute.

Lower level positions- say to GS11= fine, they are minions not policy makers so they could stay if there are not enough senior NCOS or officers to fill those seats.

Same for other administration agencies ( either get rid of them entirely and let the congress exercise oversight of laws not regulations!) or fill the leadership slots with appointees, like it used to be prior to the APA of 1931.

The deep state is Leviathan! “Swarms of officers to eat out our substance”

The actual core of the Deep State is fewer than a hundred people.

The others are flunkies who basically follow orders, preserve the ‘group-think’, and have a 'vested interest' in 'the team' winning.

The apparatus of the Deep State is massive - those who control the upper echelons are few in number.

Deep State power is styled after military hierarchies - a few very powerful generals and lots of others following orders.

I have heard about the SES before, but thanks for posting this link as it has a lot of good information. How did it happen that Obama appointees are such a big majority? Did he replace and create new positions? The Trump administration needs to do the same, or better yet, change the system to promote based on merit from the ranks. And get them out of the DOJ and agencies they’re not supposed to be in!

Zero created new SES positions, every Rat administration does that, Zero over achieved. GOP administrations just trim around the edges, never significantly reducing the number.

That’s what I keep thinking. Wonder if/when it’ll happen.

Those in the SES are 90% career civil service, so their latest promotions would have almost all been under the Obama Administration.

The DOJ has around 750 SES employees, so guys like McCabe have been it for likely a long time.

Usually upper management aren’t unionized, I suppose that is true for the SES folks? They shouldn’t be if they are, so shouldn’t be a problem to cut.

That’s 750 too many. Are they even authorized to be there?

I don’t understand the question. When career people are promoted high enough so that they are the boss of GS-15s, they generally go into SES.

Another characteristic of the SES is that they report to the acknowledged political appointees.

So someone like the FBI Director is frequently from outside the agency while the Deputy Director is career and SES.

Sometimes federal law designates those second-in-command people be career. (Not sure about the FBI specifically).

I was going by what I read in the article:

The Senior Executive Service (SES) in 2016 had 8,156 members who were appointees. Obama appointed over 7,000 of them to these key positions. Most of these appointees do not arise from inside the respective agencies through a merit system and often are not qualified.

It is little known that there are many more SES appointees than any other type of political appointment. The “key bosses” in the federal government’s SES program are not only unqualified cronies, but they are also paid more than the highest government rate of G-15. They can even get bonuses, and each agency can set the salary of each SES member, which has no top range.

[...Most of these appointees do not arise from inside the respective agencies through a merit system...]

That would appear to be wildly inaccurate. Every official source says 7000 or so of the 8000 are career. They may not be ‘qualified’ in somone’s opinion, but they are career.
