Garth Brooks got emotional while performing a song for students taking part in March for Our Lives during his Inside Studio G weekly Facebook Live show on Monday. The country legend was shown a letter by Parkland, Florida, student Emma Gonzalez during the session for fans. Gonzalez is a student advocate and activist for gun control, who survived the fatal shooting at Marjory Stoneman Douglas High School in February.

I have long maintained that Garth Brooks would have to stand on Billy Ray Cyrus’ shoulders in order to kiss Ernest Tubb’s azz. As of today, I don’t think Garth could manage it if Billy Ray was also standing on Faith Hill’s head.
Hes always been an emotive idiot politically
Generous though...Ive seen it personally
Twice
One of the people who bullied the shooter into going crazy.
Funny, isnt it, how the bullying aspect is NOT being spoken of. At all. Yet Cruz is a big-eared ginger, and we all KNOW it happened. Wonder who all bullied him...
I doubt it. He seems to be one of those stars who is popular no matter what he says. He just played here at the Houston Livestock Show and Rodeo and was the biggest draw ever at the venue.
I’m certain Barf Brooks has body guards who carry guns when
he performs in public.
He could demand that his own body guards dis-arm when he
performs in public.
It’s because the Rodeo, itself, is a popular thing. (An excuse for folks to rent party buses and party down, in their Go Western get ups.)
I wonder if Barf could sell out a regular concert venue, here.

Part of her famous speech the next day made her sound very guilty.
Garth Brooks has gotta be ONE WEIRD DUDE! Just sayin. This guy seeems all over the map in the last 10-15 years
Oh my!!!
Garth Brooks has been on a world tour of eight legs the past three years. He has sold near FOUR HUNDRED MILLION TICKETS SO FAR....at 75 bucks for nosebleed seats up to 1000s for best access seats..Does that answer your question? Hes pocketed personally over 250 million just from ticket sales and like I said hes generous with his people ....you ride with Garth Inc and you get rich too...roadies and semi drivers and so forth...I detest his goofy naive politics but unlike the Dixie Chicks hes likable to people and I doubt hell pour salt into the wounds of his fan base repeatedly like Natalie Maines did and still does...Ill be surprised if he doubles and triples down in an ugly way.....you know whats his biggest fan bloc....country and cowboy women....theyll get over it
The Dixie Chicks pissed off country music radio and the parents of the early teen girls who bought their records
Garth isnt selling records so much as tickets....nostalgic women in stone washed jeans and Tony llamas
Or not
Brooks married his college sweetheart, songwriter Sandy Mahl, on May 24, 1986. The couple later had three daughters: Taylor Mayne Pearl (born 1992), August Anna (born 1994), and Allie Colleen Brooks (born 1996) [84][85] Brooks and Mahl separated in March 1999, announcing their plans to divorce on October 9, 2000, and filing for divorce on November 6, 2000.[51][86] The divorce became final on December 17, 2001.[86][87] Brooks remarried on December 10, 2005
Brooks and Yearwood have been married for 13 years.
According to the RIAA, he is the best-selling solo albums artist in the United States with 148 million domestic units sold, ahead of Elvis Presley, and is second only to the Beatles in total album sales overall.[4] He is also one of the world’s best-selling artists of all time, having sold more than 170 million records.[5]
As of September 23, 2016, Brooks is now the only artist in music history to have released 7 albums that achieved diamond status in the United States,
Shut up, Garth.
In the 2nd picture, is she holding one of those Purdey handmade ultra-expensive shotguns? They sell between 5 & 6 figures...
I’m very much OK with my Remington.
He had been seeing Yearwood for a long time.
Well, I figured that the Mandrell sisters (including Louise who certainly should not be left out here) are both prettier and respect firearms rights that great deal more than Garth, lol.
He’s always been an over-emoting “singer” to me anyway...
