When I first saw the headline, I assumed it was just that the kiss came out of the blue and that he was taken aback by the shock, and thrown off his game in the competition. Now he just sounds overly dramatic about it.
I do think Katy should really rethink kissing a young guy like that on TV during a competition. She could cause one of the them to have an "accident", or at the very least make him wish he had some school books to carry in front of him to hide his arousal (if getting kissed by a curvaceous pop star arouses him).
