Turning every legal gun owner into a “de facto crimial” would have functionally the same effect as an armed mass confiscation. The only difference would be a lag where a somewhat larger number of gun owners would be “picked off one by one” before everyone else reacted.

There is no organization. Very few would resist. Unorganized, untrained, 21st Century soft individuals will not have the nerve to rush to get themselves shot to pieces killed. Think Predator Drone, think Wart Hog. This talk about armed resistance sounds like fantasy-land bravado. Fifty years ago, maybe. Now, no way. The last of the ‘Nam draftees (US) and the ‘Nam volunteers (RA) are too old, and the all-volunteer troops after ‘Nam have been worn out and used up by multiple deployments. Think it through.

But interestingly enough, it’s the very same gun-grabbers that taught us that we don’t have to obey laws we don’t like.

Immigrations laws don’t have to be obeyed. Laws against vote fraud don’t have to be obeyed. Laws against employing illegal aliens don’t have to be obeyed. What makes them think that gun laws should be obeyed?
