Disgraced Parkland deputy heard shots inside school building, told cops to stay away

Roundly vilified for not entering a Parkland high school during a mass shooting, Broward Deputy Scot Peterson insisted publicly that he believed that gunfire was happening outside on campus — not from inside the building.

But internal radio dispatches released by the sheriff's office Thursday show Peterson immediately fixated on Building 12 and even radioed that gunfire was happening “inside.”

And, just as school shooter Nikolas Cruz was fleeing the building after killing 17 people, Peterson warned his fellow officers to stay away — even as wounded students and staff lay inside . . .

“Do not approach the 12 or 1300 building, stay at least 500 feet away,” Peterson said over the radio, according to the records released Thursday.

Exactly. No way to finish the donut later with a cold cup of coffee. Yuck.

Guess he thought “To Serve and Protect” was an outdated marketing slogan.

As Hogg and the rest of the dog and pony show addressed this?

My first worry after we heard about this deputy’s conduct was that he would commit suicide. What decent person wouldn’t think about that after being an abject coward and watching so many kids die because of your refusal to do your job. But this was not a normal person who turned coward under pressure; this was a politically-correct sissy whose identity is parasitic coward. He’s there to write parking tickets and collect a paycheck, nothing more.

Having seen his various statements, I would not mind if he finally decided to do the honorable thing. It would be far better if he devoted his life to actually doing something useful that would make the world better, but it’s clear that he doesn’t have what it takes to make the world better. Ever.

Remember when I said I thought the shots were coming from outside? I lied!

This loser and coward was mainly thinking about his retirement checks...probably on “disability” so no taxes. What a cuck and loser.

So much to think this goes WAY beyond simply no duty to protect...

This is why cops and their unions don't like recording devices.

Winner winner! They knew this guy was going to go off and allowed it to cover up their actions. It’s the only viable explanation. Too many witnesses have heard other shooters etc. Never put anything past the left. They have a history of horrific activities.

He thought it was fireworks.

"Be advised we have possible, could be firecrackers. I think we have shots fired, possible shots fired —1200 building,” Peterson radioed at 2:23 p.m.

" Peterson radioed at 2:23 p.m. "

I would like to see the timestamp on the Uber driver's drop off, which should be pretty accurate. With that data it should be possible to see how much time Cruz had to put on the vest and mask witnesses saw, and unpack his firearm before he started shooting.

I, as a small female civilian, know that when you hear “fireworks,” you’re to assume you’re hearing gun shots.

Why isnt he in jail and the Sheriff out of work?

Rhetorical question I assume.

Same reasons why Struck and Paige are still working for the FBI. No consequences for their actions because of gutless or corrupt prosecutors, feckless management and a lack of public outrage.

The Miami Herald says that:

"Cruz was dropped off at the school by an Uber at 2:19 p.m. Two minutes later, he entered Building 12. He began firing within 15 seconds. Peterson, at the time, was near the administration building."

So when did he put the vest and mask on?

When will Americans FINALLY learn that cops have no duty to protect them? Many Supreme Court rulings hold this.

There is nobody coming to protect you. It is up to YOU to protect yourself and your loved ones.
>

I really should sit down to some digging but, I wonder if any court case(s), up through SCOTUS, remind the judges of such?

I suspect they gloss right over, as they do the last 1/2 of the 2nd, or will it away w/ the ‘compelling State interest’ canard (as if govt *power* trumps an inalienable Right).
