Vanity - Democrats get spanked big time in Texas.

Posted on 03/06/2018 7:30:02 PM PST by JLAGRAYFOX

No doubt about it now, folks. Just like the Academy Awards crashed and burned last Sunday evening, the Democrat Party, "Massive Early Voting" crashed and burned tonight in the Texas, 2018 primary election. Ah, the days of Wendy Davis certainly have returned.

I ask you this, folks, where was Obama, where was Clinton, where was Chuck Schumer, and where was Nancy Pelosi? Time to move on, Democrats, this game is over...Trumpie has won big time!!! The blooming rose of Texas remains bright Trump "RED". MAGA..Trump!!!

“planning to run Wendy Davis again?”

No, those were results from four years ago, to compare turnout rates during a mid-term primary election.

I was sickened when President Trump suggested that Senator Cruz’s father had something to do with the Kennedy assassination. And when he pushed out an unflattering pic and verbal slam of Cruz’s wife, claiming that Senator Cruz was behind an attack on Melania that an independent PAC idiot was putting out.

But I voted for Trump.

And I would do so again, and I thank God each day that President Trump is in the WH and not Jeb or Hillary or one of several others...

For the last several days, all I’ve heard is how the RATS performed better at early voting than the R’s. So tonight I go on the dallasnews site to see the results. I find out that Cruz, Abbott, Patrick, etc. got a TON more votes (by themselves; admittedly not all have been counted, but they all had some challenger(s)) than the TOTAL of the same RAT primary. The RAT Gov. race will be a runoff of 2 candidates with around 600K votes between them (other candidates got additional votes). Abbott got well over a million.

The fact is that the RATS do not turn out well in off-year elections. I don’t know what happened in early voting, but I voted today and I usually vote early. My guess is that most races in Texas on the R side aren’t that competitive and many voted today or not at all.

This is true.

One caveat, the percentage of GOP over DEM votes is down this year.

It is still about a 35% advantage GOP, but in 2014, it was much more.

Not sure if that says anything, but you are right, we have a significant advantage over the RATS.

At this point tonight the Rats have gained 200K from 2014, but Reps are in line to gain 150-200K also.

My guess is that most races in Texas on the R side aren’t that competitive and many voted today or not at all.

In 2014, Cornyn faced Stockman. That was an exciting race. And 2012 was obviously a battle royale between Cruz and Dewhurst that went to a run-off. Whereas Democratic races have recently been low-stakes events where candidates were competing for the status of also-ran. Bobo O’Rourke has sucked up a bunch of Democratic money to get the GOTV machine ginned up. I think GOP donors will have to up their game to keep up in the more marginal races.

In PA, Saccone(R) is getting a bunch of GOP PAC money that exceeds Lamb’s(D) combined total. Let’s hope Saccone isn’t like Roy Moore - the kind of candidate who gets voters to pull the lever for the other guy. The district looks like it could be a re-run of the Handel vs Ossoff race, with Saccone having the money advantage. If he loses it won’t be because of a money gap.

How would they know how you voted?

***

IIRC, you ask for a Republican ballot, your ballot in the general will show only Republicans.

Turnout is everything in a midterm - and if more of us turned out to vote in the primary - we’ll do the same for the election.

If the FBI wasn’t so corrupt they would put a few fake ‘voters’ in every precinct and see if those fake people ‘vote’. Then swoope in and arrest the people who are REALLY stealing our elections.

Too bad the FBI works for liberal elites swamp rats.

Time for the democrats to start charging up those crash carts and strategically position them for run on all the cemeteries so they can get all those dead democrat votes out. It would appear it’s their only hope.
