He got also testy and insulting when conservatives didn’t want Harriet Miers on the Supreme Court. I seem to recall Laura Bush on some morning show talking about the sexism of people who questioned the nomination of Miers. That, GWB’s amnesty for illegals browbeating (now conservatives were racists and xenophobes) and the Bush family’s praise of the Clinton Crime Family (Bubba was a “brother from another mother” according to GWB) turned me off the whole Bush clan.
