....Dicks Sporting Goods made headlines with their decision to cut some guns from their catalog...
Griffin McCullar, an employee, penned this resignation letter.
I am putting in my two weeks notice. I greatly apologize as my job here has been great; the staff is phenomenal and very easy to work with, the management is full of great people, and the pay is good. I do not have one bad thing to say about this store. However I cannot be the face of these new gun policies in affect. I find them morally and constitutionally wrong. I refuse to be part of a corporation with these liberal policies. Again I truly apologize for the inconvenience.
Sincerely, the 20 year old employee, that is an avid hunter, who can no longer purchase firearms from the store in which he is a salesman at the gun counter.

You've got a great future ahead of you Griffin.
Good for him!

REI ..... rarely shop there .... now it’s never.
REI To Pause Purchasing From Gun Owning Outdoor Brand
http://www.blueridgeoutdoors.com/go-outside/rei-to-pause-purchasing-from-gun-owning-outdoor-brand/
In the wake of the recent Florida shooting, outdoor sporting goods retailer REI will indefinitely pause purchasing of brands from Vista Outdoor. This comes as the result of Vista Outdoors failure to issue a public statement about the shooting, outlining a clear plan of action.
Vista Outdoor has a large portfolio of companies under their belt including Giro, Bell, Camelbak, Camp Chef and Blackburn. Also in that portfolio is Savage Arms, a manufacturer of guns and ammunition, including modern sporting rifles.
REI shared the news late yesterday via their website while giving a nod to Dicks Sporting Goods and Walmart for their proactive approach to gun law reform.
Dicks is a weird outfit to begin with. Ive stopped by three of their stores and there is never anyone in the building, including employees!
Good job, Griffin!
Hard to believe, but if so, I’m surprised that they aren’t a haven for looters ... eh, I mean 100% OFF sale shoppers.
Great letter.
...The whole hunting business is an important part of our business, and we know there is going to be backlash on this, said Mr. Stack. But were willing to accept that...
IIRC, KMART said something very similar some years ago when they caved to lardass Michael Moore.
REI is for Subaru owning lesbians that roll up the Windows and get high on their own Quinoa farts.
Snicker .....
The founder of Dick`s:
DICKS Sporting Goods was founded in 1948 when an 18 year-old Dick Stack was working at an ARMY SURPLUS in Binghamton, New York.”
What a betrayal to its founder.
https://jeffersonvalleymall.com/stores/dick%27s-sporting-goods
(In 1948 you could buy all kinds of WW2 surplus weapons at an army surplus store with no ID, just cold, hard cash. [my CAPS])- You could buy an automatic weapon surplus US Army on the open market but you couldn`t use it for hunting!
[Infringement!] Even up to 1968, automatic weapons could be bought legally on the open market here.
Been there done that.
viz:
“Governor Dewey signed a bill yesterday fixing the opening of the 1946 deer season in the Adirondacks for October 20. The season will close Nov. 20.
Other bills of interest to local sportsmen signed this week include one prohibiting the use of automatic firearms in hunting. Designed as a safeguard against the use of rapid-fire weapons brought back by overseas veterans as war souvenirs, the bill defines an automatic gun as “one which will continue to fire as long as the trigger is held back.” Autoloading guns which require that the trigger be pulled for each shot are permitted, provide they contain not more than six shells.
The State Conservation Department was authorized to set open season for grouse or partridge concurrently with the season for woodcock.”-—
‘Essex County Republican’. Thurs. Apr 11 1946
Automatic weapons and Machine guns were legal in NY State only 66 years ago, then illegal for hunting - Then “illegal” totally!
What happened? Answer: Illegal infringement of the Second Amendment by unjust criminal govts-
How long do we have to put up with this crap?
US Constitution says ex post facto laws are unconstitutional
Section 8.
“No Bill of Attainder or ex post facto Law shall be passed.”
I hope NEA is advising its members of these companies so the payback boycott can commence full throttle immediately
Great resignation letter. :)
Current CEO of Dick’s is a liberal woman......probably never fired a weapon in her life......
All this virtue-signalling makes me sick. I wonder if Dick’s Sports or any of the other retail outlets that have stopped selling “assault” rifles still sell Ruger Ranch Rifles in .223. That rifle is 99.44% identical in function as an AR-15 and certainly as lethal. It accepts magazines. It shoots the .223 round that is very very close in performance as the 5.56 M193 round. With just a little work, it can be outfitted with a Picatinny rail for the optics.
So, if anyone interacts with these retailers, ask them about a price on a Ranch Rifle and see what they say. I wonder how many are such overt hypocrites.
Love the Dont tread on me flag at the end of letter. Class act.
Shhhhhhhhhhhhuuusssshhhh. Ancient Chinese secrets!
