Unfortunately, this IS the kind of “government security” the liberals crave. Their government, their government (unions) employees and dues, their government pensions, and ... like at Columbine, the government takes over, but takes no responsibility for their errors. Like forcing the kids who are holding a tourniquet tight to “evacuate” ... thus letting the shot teacher bleed out on the floor. But the police telling them to leave was “just following the orders to evacuate” Not thinking - an action the liberals CANNOT tolerate.
The liberal-socialists want ALL GUNS outlawed. This is just a step. And - when citizens cannot have guns, the liberal socialist communist government will have this guy with the gun. Outside the showers. Outside the railroad car.
Why? Because he expected one of his officers to actually do his job?
He either had a car or a golf cart.

Not directing this at you, but it seems that there is little discussion yet about how the school and legal system responded or did not respond prior to and during the incident. Were their hands tied by some law or regulation, or incompetence, or some other factors? Reports list how many times the perp was in trouble with school or the law, yet nothing was attempted to intervene for the potential safety of others or his own. I believe cultural factors also need to be discussed including the pervasiveness of violent movies and video games to our youth. After all, if BJ Clinton went after a “cartoon character” Joe Camel as a reality in inducing young people to smoke, why would not desensitizing young people through virtual reality and entertainment not do the same?

It takes the steam out of relying totally on the police to protect you.
